I have tried a search but could not find anything - is there a database thread which rates the standard model cars? It would just be helpful to know the quality of the car before buying it as the quality of the standard models varies wildly.

Graphical quality and sound quality. Last night I bought the Ford Lightning pickup and the Merc CLK 55 and the difference between them is marked. The 55 looks pretty bad on close up. The Lighning however, aside from the tinted windows, looks almost premium (and sounds great). I just wondered if anybody had compiled a list of the best looking/sounding standard cars? Any contributions?

The ingame demo for each standard may help you a little with the sound. Might also help with the looks as well.
