Standards before and after update 1.06

Today i was playing gt5 after the update and got the impression that the standard cars may have been improved a little, bit shiner, more vibrant and polished.

In a thread on the the main page a gtp user has posted a before and after picture of a 1997 suzuki alto sport limited and the difference is very noticeable. if i knew how too i would post it here.

I also have no idea how to get my own pics on or i would do so and get the ball rolling so to speak.

If possible im asking if gtp users with the know how could post some images of standard cars before and after to see if there is a improvement, id be fascinated to see if im right and some good comparision shots would be greatly appreciated.
 
I thought it was only me who was noticing this, my brothers don't have a clue. They do look shinier and more polished, some jaggy edges are gone on some. But I don't have any photo's. Could you copy and paste the one that you saw into this thread?

Exactly, the jaggy edges are pretty much all smoothed out, it looks much better, I don't know what other cars have had a small makeover. Though, I don't think there is any more photo's.
 
omg, that first photo is simply horrendous. Maybe they felt that the very worst standards needed to be upgraded a little.
 
Can anyone check to see if the Supra has improved? I might check tomorrow, but here is a pic of it before the update (noticed the lack of AA on the rear window):

Interesting, I didn't know they were improving the standard cars. Definitely want to see more pics.

You can believe, that this photo was not made out of GT5. Look on both pictures, how the track lightning looks. It is completely different, although the day time and weather on this track is always the same. It looks like it is made out of GT4 or the PSP-version.

Look at the shadows on the mirrors, no GT game before GT5 had real time shadowing. That is a GT5 Pic

That is EXACTLY how the standard cars looked. That is not a fake at all.

How about the Berlinette? Remember how bad that car looked. Has it been improved with the update??

The before Alto pic looks like it came from GT PSP. However, it cant be. Well whatdaya know.

You do know that ALL the standard cars were imported directly from the PSP right?? All 800 of the standard cars are from the PSP. The PSP has 800 cars, there are 800 standard cars in GT5.
 
this is the placebo effect at work. somebody posts one comparison picture that is taken at a different angle and with different lighting, people assume it's better, so everybody tricks their minds into thinking all standard cars are better.

the alto might have been fixed, but the other cars do not look any better.
 
The only car posted so far that is actually any different is the Alto. And both pics are clearly from GT5.
