Standing starts

Has anyone got any tips for standing starts, besides TCS? If I give it part throttle, it seems like the game automatically feeds in the clutch for you, but I can't seem to get a good start from it - at least, not one which beats lighting the tyres.

Any advice? Ta!
 
when you go to car tuning check the max torque on the car and then look at at what RPM the car reaches it. Then ad 500 more rpm's and presto.. Should give you the cleanes start.
 
What do you do - floor it at lights out, feed in the gas gently? Wait for it to grip and then go? I've had little success with either.
