Well, I saw this movie last night. A few friends had gotten tickets to a midnight showing and I went along.
Everyone will be pleased to know that it was Great :D Lot's of action bookending the storyline between Baby Vader and Natalie Portman, and tons inbetween.
And Jar Jar only has about 5-10 lines in the movie, and only appears for about 4 minutes throughout. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Samuel L Jackson and Yoda also play larger roles this time around.
There are three pretty good surprises hidden away as well. :) (Not quite Vader being Luke's father from ESB, but they are good nonetheless.)
Once again Baby Vader is the weakest link in the movie, but he doesn't bring it down like in Episode I (Different actor, much older, and taller - kind of wierd considering Natalie didn't age at all :thatsodd: )
All in all, it is worth all the hype this time around, and I plan to see it again. :D

And if I don't seem that excited it's because I went to work straight after the movie, as I work early in the morning, and am extrememly tired right now. I just wanted to be the first to post the good news :D

Well, thank god it's decent - after the reviews of Ep1 I didn't bother seeing that in the cinema, and on viewing the DVD I'm glad I didn't.

I've been really looking forward to this one though - the saga's much better when it has a dark climactic edge to it.

I plan not to see Attack of the Clones; I hate Star Wars but I rather liked Episode One for some unknown reason. I love Jar Jar, and he's hardly in the movie.

But it's such a damn geeky thing -- lining up for what, a month, just to get tickets to the midnight show? Come ON, get a damn life! Go four days later and there's NO line!!

Yeah, isn't that insane? It's like people lining up to buy PS2/Xbox at midnight - gee guys, I'm lying in my comfy bed knowing that I can pick up my pre-ordered one at about 9.00 Sat morning before the Saturday crowds hit the store.

I'll wait for a couple of weeks, and then head over to the Fox Studios cinemas here with the better half and see it at the up-market cinema they have there - might do that on a Sunday afternoon when it's quiet.

I saw it today, and like Tom said its Great. A funny surprise near the end of the movie, I was laughing my ass off when it happened but it was so cool when it did.

i heard that anakin and padmae were gonna get it on in that movie but it didnt happen because of portmans dad saying he didnt want his daughter to be iun a porn film

Ha i LOVE the ending to that movie lmfao!

I went to the midnighter and hell no i didn't wait for months to get tickets, or wait in line. i walked in that theatre at 1030 and got my tickets for me and my friends.

i will see this again in the next 36 hours i think. I"M SO GLAD JAR JAR DID NOT HAVE A BIG PART!

I absolutely hate that character. i like the role of cpo and r2 in this movie.

haha, everytime padame and anakin would have a little love scene together i started to chant. "Luke Luke Luke Luke". people just stared at me.

Just got back from seeing it. Pretty awesome! A must see on the big screen for those who enjoy movies.

Yeah, I didn't wait at all either... bought my ticket online at 3:00, showed up at 3:35, walked right in and was watching previews by 4:00!

Yeah, I wondered about that...Anakin is probably ten years older, but Padme looks to be the same age...? :reallyodd Ol' George is getting lazy in his old age...

"Ah, screw it, they won't know the difference anyway..." :p

I know i cant and i dont wanna but its soo funny and so unexpected. I'll hush now

As for the age difference, there is an irritating thing that explains it in the books according to one of my friends (Who reads at least 10 books a week - wierdo ;)) Jedi's age at an accelerated rate apparently (Hence the "He is too old to train")

Infallible, I was LMAO when I read your post... I would have had tears in my eyes if you were sitting near me in the theater chanting "Luke"
It reminded me of when the Trilogy was re-released, and I saw Empire Strikes back. When Vader and Luke Dueled, two guys in the front row jumped up with Glow in the dark lightsabers and proceeded to re-enact the duel as it happened on screen (well choreographed too) They even added in the lightsaber noises. It made it the best movie I've ever seen in the theater (not to mention ESB is my favorite movie) The whole audience cheered when it was over.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'll rate this movie 5 out of 5.
Really among the the best Star Wars moves..

And Yoda finally proves that he is THE master.

I'll have to go see it again a couple of times.

And this coming from someone who spends over an hour every day on a video game web site? :reallyodd:

Hating other ppl for such a reason as this usally shows weakness of how you feel about your own insecurity.

BTW - haven't seen it yet.

I didnt wait for my ticket for months I bought it 5min before the movie started, got there right after school no lines.

Am I the only one that though there should have been bloopers at the end?

Like....

When the camera had yoda in the foreground, and someone in the background, and they are just doing the scene like normal.

All of a sudden yoda messes up a line and starts swearing like a sailor.

And certain scenes with sam jackson, the crew starts playing the theme to shaft.

Hehe those would crack me up:D

Did you see the extras in Episode 1 DVD? The one where they show the droid carrier (you know, the massive thing with the tank tracks that does like 2mph) participating in the pod race? That made me laugh!

Finally saw EPII lastnight. I have to say, after watching EP I and now II, it is evident that these movies would have a hard time standing up on their own without EP 4, 5 and 6 behind (or in front) of them.

Good shows, fantastic scenes, spectacualar worlds, and what a twisted plot of the dark side that is being revealed, and soon to be exposed in EPIII.....

Great scene towards the end. I always knew....., I just knew it, and now I know for sure. :D

well i wus surprised by yoda.......i jus thought he wus and old guy with a cane.....but when they get 2 the lightsaber scene im like GOOD LORD!!!

i guess thats why they say never 2 underestimate ur enemny :D
=)
