Starting a new game. What happens to old bonuses?

I know the DLC cars will be transferred, but gift cars like the GT Academy cars what happens to them? Are they a one time thing only none transferable? I searched and couldn't find exact answer, anyone tried a new game on the same account and received all the cars as a gift again? Also if the the who downloaded content was removed and redownloaded, would the cars reappear still? I have to reformat my system and I was debating if I wanted to start a new game

This years GT Academy cars are non-transferable. They only appear on the account in which you won them on. They will not show up on any new accounts you create. If you delete them, they are gone....forever. If you reformat, you will lose them. There is no way of getting these cars back once they are gone. There was a few threads concerning this very issue awhile back.

That sucks... So keep the savegame forever unless you want to lose them. Only that savegame will have them even if you start a new game under the same account.
