Starting glitch abused by leaders

In the last 3 or so races that I have done at Brands hatch, I've noticed that several people have used a glitch to their advantage to get the start to be chaotic for the middle of the pack and give the top 3 competitors an advantage. I'm not even going to get into how it is done, because I don't want to be a proponent of it. But basically it makes the start chaos for everyone else except for the leaders.

I think I was in that race, after that nonsense, I got broadsided in 3 different corners and got creamed. Definitely a bunch of folks working together to mess it all up, just like Driveclub. How'd they all get in the same race, is this game hacked or something?

Well save the replay and send it to Sony/PD.

If you’re not going to let anyone else know what is happening it’s a bit of a waste posting here...

They're causing the cars to crash at the beginning due to a backup... and makes the entire field very very very close at the beginning of the race. I just don't want to say the way that they are doing it, because I do know the way because that one idiot said how to do it.
 
The driver in about the 4th starting spot hit the breaks and slowed down on the straight at the start, totally unexpected. I has to swerve around him and almost got taken out, but I got around him. Then throughout the race I got rammed broadside in corners hard, like being targeted. Nonsense from a bunch of @$# heads.
 
Yeah it was right at the start of brands hatch, since then my next 2 races have only had 10 or 11 drivers and I got back to B DR quick. Something fishy going on.
 
Not enjoying this experience. I took a risk on Brands and placed 5th on grid. 8-24 had no time? For whole 3 laps positions 6 and 7 did absolutely nothing except try to take ME out. As it was slow cars they couldnt wreck me...i finished 5th but no chance of passing the leaders with all that collision avoidance going on. So I went to lobby...more shunting and verbal abuse. Can you save chat? I had a a pink car so you can guess the usual words being used. Next lobby I got kicked as soon as I went out to practice. At least final race before I quit was a good one with 3 good drivers for me to follow after we ditched the shunters.
If this was a PC game there would be mods already to keep us clean racers to ourselves.
 
What I'm talking about was sport mode. I'm pretty sure the staff is watching for races with huge amounts of collisions. Bells and whistles going off sort of thing. If folks are consistently causing havoc for others, how about locking them in E SR and DR for a few hours or days to cool them off ? Or better, cancel their account and refund their money. If you can't play by the rules then you can't play. These are the guys who are too dumb to cheat and pass in school.

Well the other poster says a guy just hit their brakes but you think it’s possible to affect the start during the auto drive.

Unless you kept the replay it’s going to be difficult to work out what happened... There may be an innocent explanation.
 
I have one replay of one of the three incidents. And it didn't have to do with breaking I believe. And it was definitely during Auto Drive. One even had the leader flying 20ft in the air b 4 the start.... .

I will update the replay and put a tag under (GT Planet glitch) so you can search for it on Gran Turismo.
 
Its something related to stoping in a speciffic spot during the warmup.
 
Sounds more like an exploit than a glitch as it equates to bad driving and general dickishness without actually changing the game. In any case as others have said, take a vid, send to Sony and either get them banned from the tables (all times they post will be invalid), banned from races (if they continue to be dickish they can only race in their own lobbies and not sports lobbies) and an actual points penalty for everyone showing blatant brake checking (F1 has punished drivers for it and the accidents they caused).
