Well i'm finally getting the game at Christmas along with my shiny new Driving Force GT. I figured it was best to not get used to driving the F1 cars with a pad and then having to adjust to a wheel, hence i've held off buying it. Here we go...

I'm planning on running Long race weekends with 100% race length as I have the time and it will be a real acheivment to win a GP. First question, do the long race weekends include all 3 practice sessions and knockout qualifying? And if so can you say, skip the rest of a practice session if you're happy with your times?

I'm going to run on the highest difficulty setting with all aids off to challenge myself  Should I start with Lotus under these settings or will I just get left at lights by the KERS teams? Would Williams be a more sensible selection on the top difficulty setting?

I should say i'm a decent driver, much better at consistency than raw speed but still pretty quick. Any game breaking bugs I need to avoid would also be nice to know :p Cheers fellas 👍

Yes, yes

The goals scale by team (afaik) so it won't really make a difference-personal preference/how long you're willing to spend in the bottom of the barrel

Be careful reaching for the paddle shifters. :sly:

Yes, you can. But if you are trying to complete the R&D objectives, you have to do so in all three practice sessions to get the upgrades.

If you are just starting, yes, you will get left behind. But that's the fun part. If you really want a challenge, don't overtake 15 cars at the first corner. 👍

I wasn't really expecting to win at Australia in a Lotus, just maybe avoid a last place finish :p thanks a lot 👍
