Starting Over - Best thing ever

Well I finally got some extra Memory cards, so i'm starting a new GT4 game, so far its the best thing ever, in my first game i woud usualy overpower the competition and win, i got mostly bronze on the liscence test, and i kinda rushed through the game. I used my good ole b-spec driver to get me enough cash to own almost all the cars in the game, But not this time

Now i'm going for atleast silvers on all the liscence test, gold when possible, and still my ultimate goal, I want to complete most of the missions before doing a lot of racing, I want to buy the minimum number of cars, and do the least modding (basically a high a-spec points) and NO B-spec, well maybe fomr some of the long endurances, but for the most part, i want to leave them not completed instead of B-seced.

So far so good, I have always been semi-fast racing, but really taking the time on teh liscences has really improved my driving. And i can't wait to have some compettitive races that I don't win right away.

I definitally recommend this to anyone who is starting to get tired with there original game, especially those of us like me who really wanted to rush in a see what all new was added (I've played all the majors, GT, GT2, GT3, now 4)
 
I completed all the licences before racing and that really helped. I even golded B, A, IB and IA (except IA-16) before driving a single race. 👍

Needless to say, I had pretty good beginning cars... :lol:
 
I got 97.7% completed when my memory card crashed!
I was then forced to restart & did basically exactly what you're talking about--& now I'm 100% & have 80 Golds with 63,000-some A-Spec points--much more satisfying this way--good choice Car-Guy!

I enjoy golding the licence test before racing in general, but this would be the 3rd or 4th new game for me, anyways.

Not that it matters, or anything....

Just did the same thing, got a new mem card and about to start over (keeping my old AR-sponsored 100% save for drifting ;) ) with the same concept.. no racing for cash, no money transfer at the start, as little modding as possible, as little b-spec as possible.. but I don't know if I can gold all the licences (I'm not that good at grip racing yet)

I got a twist though, I completed my first save using the d-pad.. but now I have a wheel up and running... And even though my drifting improved a lot with the wheel, I can't really match my old grip lap times yet. Hopefully I'll be able to drive the group C cars properly this time, cause they were a nightmare using the d-pad.
 
I like many of have recently bought another memory card and this time im doing it all a-spec, on my other save i've done 48.9%.

I love to do the mission hall they are fun thats one maine reason why i restarted GT-4 but only on another memory card. 👍
 
I'm on my 3rd time starting over already! This time I'm going for max A-spec points up front. Gotta say it is more fun. The best I've found for max A-Spec is the Dodge Ram Hemi 4wd. Good for 200 points every time and still a fairly easy win! My next project with the Ram is to get under 1 minute laptime at Tsukaba.Goint for all silver and preferably gold on lic. tests. I want to do all the missions but some are just too much for me. :crazy:
 
Good thinking Car_Guy! That's pretty much how I started GT4. Learned well from about 4 passes through GT3.
Got GT4, golded all licences, then did all 34 missions to get me used to my new wheel & pedals before I even did a single race! Took a ton of patience and about 2 months! (Travelled a lot in between!)
Refuse, absolutely, to touch B-spec & photomode. 2 useless features put in at the expense of the feature everyone really wanted, i.e. online racing.
Now working through the game with the aim of owning & driving every vehicle, and doing as little tuning as possible while gaining as many A-spec points as possible, and not using a car more than once if possible (unless its a series race.)

Well, I just started and got all silver and gold up to and including IA-15 on pretty much first attempts... Maybe 8-10 tests required a couple of tries but all in all the wheel is starting to feel very good indeed :)

Started out driving as much stock as I can.. the Sunfire concept totally annihlated the Sunday Cup and FF series, before I stepped into the RX8 for some even more crushing victories in the Clubman and FR series.. Some of those races were 120+ a-spec but I still won by 15-20 seconds... maybe I AM getting better at this :o
 
I had 99.8% (damned m34) and restarted because I got the DFP. The plan is to go A spec all the way
 
I'd love to get a wheel but I've got nowhere to put the thing. I might buy another card once the semester is over (2 weeks to go!), I'm not happy about my GT4 game because my old savegame corrupted so I copied my friend's one because he was at about the same percentage. Sadly he got rid of some cool prize cars and license cars and I'm tired of it saying his name on the screen :). Plus he had hardly any A spec points.
