So my fat ps3 quit on me, HD is toast so I have to start over on my new slim model. Is it possible to re-download my collector's edition cars and/or my Gamestop pre-order bonus cars?

-Tried search and couldn't find anything about it, even though I remember seeing a thread like this before.

they should be in your PSN store...use your old PSN...BTW you didnt back up you save?

I couldn't, my external HD I have wouldn't work on my ps3 without reformatting it, and if I did that I'd loose over 400gb of stuff. I knew I should have but, no I didn't. :S

A flash drive will do the trick for backup save data. Just giving you some advice on the future so that you dont think that an external hd is the only way to backup.

As to your question to emphasize what has already been said here, your cars will be able to be downloaded again on your new ps3 as long as you use your psn that you currently have them with. Good luck to ya.

Thanks for the help, figured out how to get to 'em. Just talked to my buddy about the old HD, apparently it still works, but it just wont be recognized on a PC. Is there anyway to get the data off it without putting it in the old ps3? Old one was sent back to sony, probably wont get that back but a refurbished one.. and I tried popping it in an enclosure to plug it into both pc and ps3 and it wouldn't show up, thus making me think it was toasted.
