Starting tyre choice

Hi all, I’m not much of an online racer but do enjoy taking part in the daily races. For races that require two tyre compounds to be used, how do I change the tyre compound before starting the race? I see other racers changing to a medium compound during the warmup period, but can’t figure out how it’s done. Similarly, are different tyre compounds available for the qualifying time trial? Any help appreciated.

Spanner icon, and you have to change the fronts first (little quirk since they patched the 'hybrid' tyre loophole). And yes, you can and should qualify on the softer tyre

Probably because when you scroll down through the menu it lands you on the rears first... awesome UX decision by PD
