stealth model break in

Before I ask I did try the search button but the app on my android is tough for me to figure out, so even if some one has a link to a thread that discusses my question I will follow that link and read my heart out.

I recently stumbled across the free gt-r stealth model code and have been trying to break it in, problem is after 200 laps at daytona with tire wear on I have not seen either a drop or increase in horse power. Is it just me or does it need more miles.

The other question about break ins I have is about the first oil change. Is it better to break in a car then do an oil change or but a new car and get the HP boost from an oil change before you even break it in.

Like I said I am having problems with the search feature and even if its just a link that solves me question I would be more than happy.
 
If I am not mistaken, that car comes already broken in, as do other cars from the OCD and DLC. If you do an oil change and tune it, you'll be at max hp with no break-in required.

For your other question, I always do an oil change immediately after buying a new car. Then, I tune it and break it in, doing an oil change after the max hp has been reached from break-in.
 
I always figured that ocd cars were broke in but never thought dlc cars were like that. And I only ask about the oil change because more than a few people online say that the new cars have break in oil. I don't know it made sense to me.

I did buy two Lexus lfa's last night. I am going to keep both 100% stock with the only difference being the first oil change. Some time today I am going to try this break in oil theory out.

And can you break cars in offline. As in going to pick daytona and doing a one make race.

The original DLC version of the Stealth cars did not come broken in, IIRC. This stand-alone DLC came later.

With the new feature added to GT Auto that shows what the hp gain will be from an oil change or engine rebuild, it's easy to see that changing the oil on a new car creates more hp right after buying the car.

Yes, cars can be broken in online with tire wear ON or offline in A-spec and B-spec races. As long as miles are being put on the car, it is breaking in. I usually just throw Bob into the B-spec Indy 500 Endurance race and let him do the work for me. ;)
 
I had to break in all my 6 stealth cars (EU).
I don't know about newer, only-USA added NSX GT-500 and GT-R GT500...
 
So the two lfa's I bought. One got an oil change right away and one did not. After I drove them both 200 miles I did an oil change on both cars and fully upgraded them. The lfa that I did not change the oil in after buying has ONE more horsepower than the other.
