Holy Hell! this is one awesome game. And the controller, it's huge.

Its got buttons for everything, window washing, night vision, zoom, and even HUD color change.

The start up sequence for your mech is like 8 buttons. gotta close the hatch, then ignition, then flip all the toggle switches, the start the mech up.

Heh, my new favorite game.

Wow dude, that's incredible. What was your means of acquisition? Did you just throw down $200 or did you trade in games or something? A couple of my friends and I have thought about going in together on it, but never really got serious about it.

What's the game like? Is the story good? How about the game play? I would assume the controles are good, but you never know ... Would you say it's worth $200? I imagine the next one will be far and away better - rumor has it there will be online play and such.

MORE DETAILS PLEASE!! (:

Someone actually returned it, said it wasnt worth the $200. So it sat in the back of the store for two weeks until payday:D Since i work at gamestop, i payed only 183 something, and that was with the strategy guide.

I havent played much yet (damn that zelda), but so far so good. Story is basically, one side with draws from the "U.N" (something similar) and then attacks the other side. You are on the other side (the good guys.)

The gameplay can be tough especially in the first mission, just the size of the controller can be daunting. Once you learn the controller, the set up is excellent. Capcom does a very good job with the manuals. There is one big one (about 40 pages, notebook sized.) and that one explains every thing you need to know to work the mech.

It is worth the money, the controller is built very well, nothing like madcatz, or interact quality here.

oh, and you NEED a huge area to play this in, i'm acutally thinking of moving my TV out to the dining room table so i have enough room for the pedals and the controller.

Ahh.... my dream job... *sighs*
Or was it Saturday Matinee that was my dream job? *sighs*

Of course I wouldn't want to do it around Christmas. Specifially right after Christmas when all the ungrateful brats begin to return things they never deserved in the first place. :p

Hell on two legs.

Well, after about a week of on and off SB fun, i can truely say, this game was well worth the money. Although i'm stuck on the fourth or so mission (about 5 or 6 mechs, plus a battleship with more firepower than the U.S.S. Missouri that I have to take out) this game is pretty good.

Quite a few mechs to choose from, I have about 4 or so available to me now. The further you progress, the better mechs you can upgrade to, such as 2nd and 3rd gen mechs. You can upgrade your starting mech too, its cheaper than buying a new one. You can add all sorts of weapons to your mech, from cannons to rail guns. You can also add more fuel tanks to your mech, incase you have a habit of running out fuel before the mission is over (thankfully you can call in a supply helicopter to refuel and replenish ammo and fuel for your mech).

All in all, a very good game.

I think I'm gonna have to check this game out. It sounds like tons of fun, and I like the idea of having it's own controller. I guess I'll just have to start saving for it.

It looks good, very good. But i think i'll wait for the sequal. I know it's qute far away, but the online feature is going to be sweet.

Is that supposed to be a joke? It's a $200 VIDEO GAME. Of course they're not going to have it.

If the controller gets broken you can't play the game. I've seen how people treat games/movies/systems that you can rent from Blockbuster, and if that happened to the controller Blockbuster would lose their investment.

They do make you put 200$ deposit..so if you do mess it up your loss

No one would want to do that, because, lets face it, people are stupid and they think that they are spending that $200 and they think that they wont see it again.

Plus the majority of people don't have $200 to plunk down on a deposit for a video game.

whenever i am at gamestop, or another video game specific shop, I see some ****ing brats mother buying the 11 year old brat an M rated game like grand theft auto. it makes me sick. all of this blame to the game developers when no one in this country knows how to parent.

im not talking about a responsible kid that makes the money doing a paper route every morning to earn the money and his non-naive parent giving him a ride to the game shop. I am talking disrespectful little punk that doesnt do his school work and plays games all day while the low self-esteemed mother is troubled as to why.
