Hey all,

Is it just me, or do cars turn differently at Monaco than they do anywhere else? I was doing the mini challenge at Monaco, and it seemed that even the basic fast corners required much more steering input than a similar corner at other tracks. Also it seemed to force the car to under steer unless I was going crazily slow on corner entry.

It might be that you are under estimating how tight the corners are? It can be pretty hard to compare between tracks. Its a pretty tight course and not very FF friendly. Maybe take it a bit more slowly to get your line, make sure you are turning in early enough.

Is it also possible that the road has less grip than a dedicated track? Not sure if GT5 models this.

Cobblestone streets like at Madrid feel less "grippy" than most racetracks (which is good). I think Monaco (Cotê D'Azur) has the same grip as a regular racetrack does.

As others have said, its probably just you. That is an especially tight course and does require more steering input than most other tracks. I used to despise that track, but after a few WRS events there, I came away with a much better understanding of that track with also a new found respect for it. Treat her right, and you will be rewarded.👍

It's not underestimating the tightness of the course, I'm used to the course from f1 games and previous gt games. It just seems that the steering wheel input (dfgt) is much greater at that track than others. In the f1 cars to get around the hairpin I have to turn my dfgt more Than one full revolution left.

Try setting up your car so that it rotates around the corners better. Sounds like maybe your car is set up on the tight side.

The F1 cars are hard to get around the hairpin and it's not just you. Some of the fastest drivers around are seeing that in the WRS Formula Grand Prix of Monaco practice this month. It takes a flick of the gas to almost over rotate the car plus serious turn in under braking (trail brake) and a shot of accelerator mid corner. It's very challenging and I have the F1 rim for the T500.
