Steering lag

Game rocks so far, but when you take into consideration the steering lag... wth? It's hard to even play the game. In fact I'm going to return it tomorrow. I can't believe they would release it like this. Is there any solutions at all anyone has found? Or do you think they will patch this? I've seen people saying they are dealing with it, but its total crap if you ask me.
