Steering linearity?

In the advanced control I turned it up to 100% and it helps me a lot seemingly but I have no idea what it does, can anyone please explain? Thank you!! I Googled it up but it shows steering sensitivity instead. Of course they could be the same and I might not have looked enough. (My bad!!)

(PS I play in French mode which is practically my main language (I'm Quebec french despite living in Alberta) and some of the words even there are not understandable for me.)

In-game description of steering linearity:

This sets the mapping between input and steering.

Lower values provide more accuracy near the center but less accuracy near full lock. Higher values provide more accuracy near full lock but less accuracy near the center. 50 is a linear mapping.

Ahhh so that's why I'm doing better while cornering, at 100% the accuracy is stronger while steering but less in a straight line. (I always use 4WD so it works well)
