Hey guys, I just bought a Logitech Driving Force Pro, And im waiting for the new PS2 Slim, because my ps2 bit the dust, and I will gladly spent the $199.99, In order to get GT4 in Dec. What I was wondering is, any of you guys have any niffty ways to set this thing up. Im running it off a 26in normal RCA TV, no plasma or HDTV till i save more money. I would like to set it up also, where I can rip videos for future drift videos. I was a big time drifter in Gt3, booyeah!, ok anywho I was thinking of building one out of steel pipe and wood, but before I start I would like to see if any of you have any good ideas.

P.S. Ive seen a few pictures of guys who have 7 speed video game shifters, thats independent from the wheel. Do any of you guys, know where I can get that, it sure is better than the shifter on the pro, if it is what I think it is.

I made my own cockpit. Connect PS2 over TV tuner and play or any game over PC. I use Momo Force or DFP - change them. I have Act Labs Shifter, but it doesn't work for PC ... Sadly ...

Some pics here, sorry for the language http://users.volja.net/vipersan/cockpit.htm

Roughly translated:

Page is under destruction, have to edit it with updatet pics.
Using Nissan sport seat form one car (trying to find out which :) )
Shifter form Act Labs, 7 gears plus Backward.
Handbrake from Zastava 750 (Fiat 600), homemade.
Pedals from momo force, moded a little - added clutch, squash ball under brake pedal, more info on the link.
And FINAL LOOK SO FAR. But sadly not really final :) Is a little improved.

There's an idea for you maybe. Hope that helps a bit.

Hi Lipid Sama,

I bought a PLAYSEAT and want to tune it with bass shakers and a surround-system and maybe some other gadgets...

I've got a lot of inspiration out of this thread:

http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=186

Its the RSC homepage for the hardcore PC-Simulations and there are the real freaks !!! 👍

Just look around at this side and you'll get more informations about building your own cockpit, your own wheel, your own pedals, your own H-shifter ....

And btw look at the GTR section ... this game will be awesome and will be released in November (with a 21 player online mode :dopey: )

greetings RENNSEMMEL

thats what I would like to know also.

Thanks for the post guys. But Im saving my money up for a 60in HDTV for my apartment. My Computer is in the room down the hall from where I will have it set up. So Im gonna build a setup that can be easily taken a part for storage. For when I have guest over, or my friends, god forbid, they destroy everything lol.

My plan, is a simple low steel pipe and with wood stands setup.

Can you use those shifters from act labs in post 2 witht the ps2 and the logitech driving force pro?

I have no clue, but I dont think so ! :yuck:

Because in PC-Games normaly you can configurate your own buttons to several actions... in GT4 (Prologue) its not possible.
Not to speak about the "translation" of the H-shifter to sequentiel shifting of gt4...

Thats the advantage of PC-Racing Games... you can adjust nearly everything 👍

no .. Act Labs Shifter does not work in GT3 GT Concept, GT4P and probobly won't in GT4. Unfortunately. I would love it.

On PC it works flawless. I use DFP (900°) on PC with moded pedals for my momo (clutch included), Act Labs Shifter and handbrake. It's the ultimate in LFS.
