Should GT sport have more steering wheel settings

This isn't about me driving it's about the lack of steering wheel settings in a driving game

you're driving does play a part. that last video there were some things i noticed...

-First off your steering inputs. Your rotation is set WAY too high. your using 900? 1080? Im pretty sure Thrustmaster has a quick setting on the servo (what the wheel is attached to) that changes the degrees of rotation without needing to manually set it.
-Second. your line. nothing more
-lastly... why are you using Chase cam? it'll be a little easier if you switched to the roof cam as the chase cam can skew your brake and turn in points

I put this is not here to show pd how many people want steering wheel setting but my bad.. pd have better things to do then come on here they have to make photo mode better

How do I lower my rotation the only way is mode setting and it resets every qualifying and race

So have you posted any videos which show a game where you can drive with a wheel without crashing?
Here's a video of me using motion control want to have a dig at that

So what kind of settings is it lacking? What do you want added? Seeing some of your posts on here, you seem to want it to drive like on DS4?
To be able to calibrate the wheel set up the rotation I want and it to save it and

back on the GTS, you would probably find it better to switch off traction control and switch on countersteer assist, it doesn't really give counter steer assist, but gives grip everywhere and it seems everyone is using it.

Voted yes, i'm content with what we have now but more customizable settings is always a good thing. It boggles my mind that people even vote no.

I'm hoping they are pad users messing with the vote. Unless 33 people with a wheel don't want to say they haven't got PSVR.

On PC, if you download the Thrustmaster Control Panel and connect your wheel in PS3 mode, you might be able to set the rotation there and save it. Worth a try.
Tryed that the game over rights the settings made on the pc..thanks any way

For me two main problems:
  • Maximum rotation, having to set this again and again and again at the wheel for each race is unacceptable, having to live with the default of (on my wheel) 1040° is also unacceptable.
  • Even more important the handling of the throttle. Either they change this to linear instead of exponential like it is right now or they make a setting for that. It can't be that the only option you have is 25% throttle when pushing the pedal 50% in and then the last 50% of the throttle have to be controlled with the last 25% of pedal travel.

Here you go

I thought you were complaining about GTS and praising other games. Yet here you present a GTS video rather than one of the games where the wheel support, in your opinion, is better?

GT sport is a good racing game but the problem is pd have took the advantage of using/owning a steering wheel on gt sport... if project cars 1-2 didn't pause for a second when your qualifying when any joins or leaves I would be going on that

I get your pain, hopefully a patch will come for your wheel to be better supported. I would have taken it back and swapped it for a G29.

Only thing I'd really like is for GTS to not reset the rotation mode on my t150, however, I can live with it. It's not game breaking for me.

I'm not using a steering wheel on there have you tried using a wheel on there it's hopeless
Driveclub isn't hopeless with a wheel at all.

Using 1080 as a default isn't an issue, the game soft locks to the correct steering ratio for the car in question.

In other words it's doing the exact same as just about every other title around.

GTS's issues around steering and FFB exist in other areas, particularly how understeer is reflected, how track surface detail is transmitted (or lack of), basic manner in which lateral forces are transmitted, lack of pedal calibration (clutch is currently useless) and non linear throttle to start the list.

I leave my T150 at default now and I'm used to it. Quicker than ever in fact. The OP needs to not overdrive every single corner.

I'm on a G29 with my bodge shelving and plank setup and I'm happy with the stock steering settings. It would be nice to tweak the brake to match other games (PC2/AC require a stamp and GT is a light touch) but I'm adaptable and got used to it very quickly.

So I'm happy as it's.

Didn't vote. I like the avaiable tools but current adjustments are too coarse . Include more steps and I would be all good. But im also using a fanatec wheel so my satisfaction is probably skewed.

Having happily digested the blue pill that is Gran Turismo Sport's force feedback and voting 'No', I came here to say how wrong I was. Going back to Project CARS 2, which I never thought I would play again, I can see why. In a true racing sim, your car is supposed to have a mind of its own, the mastery is about quelling its rebellious mind and becoming one with the machine. In GT Sport, it's absolutely mindless. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy it, but I'm now with the others in wanting more settings.

Why did they make it so the pedal response is non-linear? I'm still trying to work my head around the reasoning behind that..

Just FWIT, I used a Logitech Driving Force GT Steering Wheel on GT 5&6 and it had a huge dead spot in the center which made good car handling very difficult.
I now use the Fanatec Club Sport Elite Racing Wheel for GTS. It is very smooth, very precise and has absolutely no dead spot in my experience. It also has lots of adjustments and can store 5 different sets of settings which could be set by car type, etc.
I've only adjusted sensitivity and force feedback and have been able to get a "best" feel/responsiveness for each different car. This adjustment can even be done mid-race by clicking the tuning menu button and adjusting the required setting.
The wheel settings are very helpful when switching from cars to karts where I needed to really slow down the steering to maintain control.

More options are always better, even the base settings for pcars 1,2 were pretty good but having the ability to go in and tweak every little thing is a great option to have.
