A few hints ahead of time (from someone who's tried out a few wheels).
Find a comfortable seat, and something solid to mount it to. Any sway or movement in the mount makes it harder to control.
Figure in that you'll need 30-40 hours to get comfortable with this wheel and then another 30-40 to get faster than what you previously ran.
Most of all, starting with stock, low power cars is an excellent way to do it. Toyota MR-2, or a Tommy Kaira ZZS. Both are solid, predictable MR cars with little over/understeer that will help you with the learning curve. Tokyo R246 or Midifeld are two good tracks to start on. Take the MR2 out on Midfield to get a feel for it.
Good luck
