I'd say yes - a Logitech GT3 Accredited wheel. I was going to buy this, but then I heard say that it wasn't completely reliable (turned out it was... :banghead: ) so i bought one with sequential shift rather than paddle shift. It was the worst mistake of my life, because now I never use the wheel.

I LOVE the wheel. I'm using a Logitech Wingman FF, which is the exact equivalent of the GT Force wheel, except for no GT3 sticker in the centre and red handles instead of blue.

Main reason why I love it: infinitely more realistic race experience. There's just no comparing driving with the wheel and with the dualshock, especially when the wheel on Simulation mode. If you then put Sim tires under your ride, it's even better. :D

If you're very used to the DS2, it may take a little while before you drive faster with the wheel though and because the DS2 is a lot less realistic it allows for better times on some circuits. But on other circuits, the wheel is definitely the easier tool to get fast times with, and in general in the slower cars you'll also often do better with the wheel.

But I would never voluntarily go back to the DS2 - it's a kids toy, the wheel's a grown up thing. :D The wheel has realistic spinouts :D it has great force feedback, you can feel where the carbalance is (is it leaning left or right) and use that to judge your chicanes, you can feel the rumblestrip and the white tracklines, it's much easier to steer just a tiny bit or brake just a little, etc etc etc etc.

Me *love* wheel. :D

And the Wingman FF is only about 50 Euro's now, I highly recommend it (it's also the most compatible wheel, working with the most games, and the wheel GT3 was designed for).

I have the GT Force wheel, and completely agree with Arwin - the act of driving the car becomes such a tactile thing, and some of the lower powered stock cars, most notably the NSX, become absolute joys to drive - to the point that I'll often drag out my tired old NSX that I used to win the Polyphony Digital cup and do laps of Deep Forest. It takes GT3 to the level of simulation.

How have you found the force-feedback compared to PC and other PS2 games?

sorry but you cant get the gt wheel anymore they discontinued it but as someone said earlier the logitech wingman looks exactly the same except it doesnt have the gt sticker and performs just as well. hurry up and get it. it was a life changing expirenece for me and should be of any gt racer:cool:

On that point,... I think I can assume you've never driven with a Logitech MOMO GT Force,... HIGHLY reguarded as the best wheel on the market, hands down.

The Driving Force wheel is the pits, using the hand held is a better choice of the two

Did I say anything at all about the driving force wheel? No,. I said the MOMO is the best wheel you can buy,... forget everyother wheel you've every heared of or used. Buy the MOMO or live in the stone age,... your choice.
