duuh.. i've tried pretty much everything, and ended up searching here.. found nothing. so here we go! proberly again...


OK, so i want a step by step guide thoroughly explaining HOW TO enter codes for GT4..

i've got the basics,

Insert Action Replay disc and memory card
enter game title, and codes
then when promted insert game disc, and press X

then the game loads and guess what? No codes active..

They cover everything you are likely to want initially. If you want to use the Timer Codes (not really necessary if you use the license code) then just pick the one you want.

So, having inserted the game disk you go to Expert Mode and add the game "GT4" (or however you want to name it). Following the prompts on screen. I think it may ask for the (M) code at the same time so enter the actual code lines for that using the controller to select the letters and numbers. If you have a compatible USB keyboard then it is easier.

Having got the game name and (M) code entered there you add the first code that you want and type in the name and the actual code lines, repeating this process until you have entered all the codes you require. Use the X button to get a tick against the codes you want and press the Start button and follow the prompts to start the game with the codes you selected.

When it asks you to insert game disc make sure you select to start the game WITH the codes and not without, there are 3 options at this stage. Start game with codes, start without codes or restart AR max..

thanks.. i managed to make it work, after some tears.. hehe

I had this problem whetever i had to ONLY have the AR card in, or, both my mem card and the AR..
