I have been playing GT5 with my old Driving Force Pro that I originally bought for GT4. I am perfectly happy with it and if I only played GT5, I would not consider another wheel.

The problem is, I enjoy Forza as well. I only finished about 20% of Forza 3, since I did not like playing with a controller and that was all I had at the time. Playing GT5 with the DFP reminded me how much more fun playing with a wheel can be. Also, I now have a Playseat Evo.

So I picked up a DriveFX wheel off of eBay for pretty cheep. Unfortunately, this wheel is not that great. I spent most of a day trying to get it setup in a way that felt similar to the DFP. I read many posts on many sites, but none of the suggestions really helped. The "axial feedback" is just not the same as force feedback - it is very week.

So now I am mostly done with GT5 (not interested in b-spec or the endurance races) and want to finish Forza 3 and pickup Froza 4 when it comes out.

Should I just suck it up and play with the DriveFX, which works, but leaves me wanting decent force feedback, or bite the bullet and pickup the Fanatec GT2 wheel which would work with both the PS3 and Xbox even though I am perfectly happy with my DFP?

So I jumped in and spent the $$$ on the GT2 and clubsport pedals! I'm really looking forward to playing Forza 3 (and later 4) with a decent wheel as well as more GT5.

You will not be disappointed. Especially with Forza on the Xbox. Its like these wheels were made for that game.

Does it work really well with Forza then? I've ordered the GT2 and clubsports too and I know I shouldn't say it here but I kinda prefer Forza to GT! I was worried that maybe the Fanatec wouldn't work as well with Forza as GT.

From everything Ive read, the Fanatecs work absolute wonders with Forza. Personally, I cant say yet.. Waiting on my Clubsports(Tracking # recieved, delivery scheduled for the 5'th of Jan.. O.. M.. G..) to arrive.

When they arrive, Ill be able to join to many people who have said that their Turbo S(and now their GT2) is just a joy to use with Forza Motorsport.

How long after you ordered until you received a tracking number?

There is no doubt they work better on Forza. I think Turn 10 gave almost full compatibility for them. The Fanatec wheels are the only ones available for the Xbox with a clutch, and you have full clutch support on Forza. Also the internal rumble motors on the Fanatec wheels were developed to work specifically with Xboxs rumble features, thats why the wheel feels a little different on the Xbox then PS3.
