hey every body I am new here.. I have been messing around with getting decent drifts with the s13 silvia 2000cc I am still having trouble spinning out at the end of most of my drifts. here are my settings

Nissan S13 Silvia K's 2000 500hp

Parts to buy:

All you can.

Settings:

Spring Rate: 3/3
Ride Height: 89/89
Shock Bound: 7/7
Shock Rebound: 7/7
Camber Angle: 3.0/1.0
Toe Angle: 2/-0.5
Stabilizers: 6/6
Brake Balance: 10/24
LSD Initial: 10
LSD Accel: 10
LSD Decel: 10
Gear ratios: Doesn't matter

ASM:0
TCS:0

Tyres:
Front: T8
Rear: T7

these are sharons settings, but I still am looping out at the end of my drifts.

also I am having trouble starting my drifts early. are youguys using the e brake to begin? or are you just swerving and stompin the gas...

thanks for the help!

I've been using that car lately to. I just use the stock settings except for TCS and ASM of course and drop it as low as she goes. I have a stage 2 turbo, everything else and normal tires on it and its working nicely for me. I'm still pretty much a n00b when it comes to drifting so i think i have alot in common with you.

Just use a completely stock S13 with sims. That's all you need.

I would add to that: "...and practice a lot before you log on again saying sims are too damn hard to drift with."

The vast majority or RWD vehicles left stock with some sims are comfortable drift cars. Practice is still the key element however.

People don't realize that what makes a good drift car, is a good grip car. You need balace. Sheron's settings are hideous. Next time you want to try someone else's settings, try racing it first.

every1 I've given my settings to say they are hideous as well, but look what I do with them, I think its all about customizing the car to your OWN STYLE OF DRIVING. 99% of people here prolly wouldnt be too good with my drift settings simply because they are built around my style of drifting, and they are meant to capitlize on the techniques I use the most, which most people would probably consider driving flaws.

thats a good point and I agree.

but for someone that doesn't have a drift style yet.... and needs a start...

what do the pro's reccomend because I have been at this for a long while.:(

I like nissans and I like yotas.

word to that.
susp mods are just for other uses as to when maybe your car is a bit powered up over stock power, and is wobbling all over the place..
if it comes to the point where you car is unable to do something it was able to do stock..then you need to find the appropriate mod to retain the original performance.

I really liked bryans vids... I am gettilng a little better now.. I am wondering ... is trial mountan on the big ass turn with the yellow stripes a bad turn to learn on? I cant seem to figure out how fast to go.

ok got another queston. I cant get my car to faint with and suspension. I am messing around with the 180sx type x fastback.
what would I do adjustment wise to get it to faint easier.

was that with sim tires? that was very very badass nice! thanks very much man! I am getting the hang of it now. I am realizing that getting proper drifts is all about entrance angle and speed.

so far I am using the 180 almost all stock except for sim tires racing exhaust and racing suspension. I am getting the hang of the big turns too.

also I have the tcs at 1 and the asm at 4 I played a while with this and it seems to work fine.

youguys really have helped me alot. thanks! I need to figure out how to make some videos now. I have a digital camera but I dont have vid editing software. :D

This is a vid of me in a completely stock 180sx at Cote

Wow. That was very impressive battle. Very smooth and controlled. The music contributed to the smoothness:lol: 👍
Very well done man!!!!

I found it really hard to use. I have been playing with the stock tureno, and that thing really kicks ass for me. I got the hang of drifting with that, now I am messing around with your car and a stock 240sx.

does anyone have settings for a stock tureno with race suspension, that handles like stock?

I am getting it pretty fast now... I had the stock trueno and then got the shingawa lllama version from initial , and then got the 180sx, then I re tried sheron's car and I started to get the hang of it.:)

Then for kicks I started playing with the cwest razo silvia and now thats my new favorite. its got enough high rpm power to keep the back end out and the mid range power is a lot less so I can feather the gas easier with it. :)

I really like the way I set it up. should I post the setup here? or somewhere else? :)
