Hey Jordan, while I was clicking from one page to another I heard "congratulations, you're a winner" or something similar, I didn't have any other tabs or programs open so it had to have been from GTP, the page I clicked 2 loaded before I could see what the banner was but I thought you should know.

The one I saw just now was (c) LM Networks, I think. Very small, hard to make out. Located at the bottom of the page. Said "This is no joke!" flashing green border. Voice said "Congratulations! You've won."

At least it wasn't the buzzing bees, or fly, or whatever it was a couple of years ago.

Just got another: Female voice: "Congratulations! You've been selected to receive a free Apple iPhone. Click here now." Same place, bottom of the page, also LM Networks.

I don't think Jordan wants excessively obtrusive ads, such as ones with audio. I haven't had it happen in a week so perhaps it has already been looked in to.

I'm very sorry about this, guys, but there is very little I can do at the moment. It's a particularly frustrating issue, because these crap audio banners are running when I have explicitly excluded them. Because few webmasters allow them on their websites, audio ads pay considerably more money - but because I have banned them (and these ads are not legitimately running on GTP), I'm not even getting paid for the additional impressions!

Unless I sift through about 300 advertisers currently running on this particular ad network, my hands are tied. I have dropped ad networks in the past for not honoring my restrictions, and I may have to do it again. Please let me know if you continue to run in to these banners.

thanks Jordan! It doesn't happen very often.

There is a program available for Firefox here. It disables autoplay on ads.

There is also one for Internet Explorer which lets you lower the sound coming from your browser only. Flashmute

I just came across this today and decided to post it before i blocked it.
It makes this horribly annoying whack sound. Picture below and I think it could have been cdn.fastclick is it?

i was juuuust about to complain about this one. It's done it twice in 4 pages. Whacking noises don't go well will my impecable selection of music - the timing's all out of whack!
