Just wanted to mention to everyone upset about the save backup glitch, that you are still limited to 1 car gift per day. So even if you gift a car to a duplicate account, you can only do that once. So if you want to duplicate a car and then trade it, that process will take two days.
So while duplicating cars is possible now, the fact that all accounts are limited to 1 trade per day means that the process is very time consuming.
