Stock Car Association of North America -INDY 100 Lap QUALIFIER Jan/22-Updated

OK, its official I am only running 1 series for SCANA.

What this means...

Well, the two groups of drivers will still race to qualify for a place in the final qualifier race. However, the dual races will be more challenging. I am changing the track to something more difficult than Daytona. Please see first post for all details.

There will not be a 2nd series unless 10 more drivers sign up. Touch luck to anyone who does not qualify for SCANA.

Chad

Ill be practicing tonight. See you there if you want.

So the Duel races are just going to be more of a final warm-up now? If I miss them will I still be penalized?

If there are places left over..then you will have to race in each week.

Chad

Sorry guys. Looks like two racing nights in a row was too much of a commitment for me right now. Had to drop one. Bummed, because I'd have like to give racing on the different tracks a shot. Oh well. I'll still be there for FND though.

:indiff:

Sorry Chad, had connection problems again. Really annoying that I can't race in the early hours for some strange reason. Must be past by bedtime.

Will be looking into my internet issues over the next few days or so.

I got disconnected from the lobby when the guy with the funny sounding voice decided to drop out early . I was coming up on him when he started talking about stopping. As soon as he slowed down and paused, I passed him low and got dropped. Man I'm glad I wasnt having to race my way in. I think I was 6th when I got d'cd. It was a real fun race going and I was starting to settle in a little. oh well theres always next week.

Sorry about me almost causing a caution and staying paused on the track. It was probably because of my bad setup. I also had to eat.

Good race, and I'll see you when I can.

Jeff Gordon. And timber-rattler removed me just because I left and he got disconnected.

Ill pick last since I finished last.

I'll take Vickers, since it's my normal car, and since I didn't see anyone drive one in the race.

I'd choose a Ford, but they've been picked. I guess I'll choose the #48.

Last night was also proof that I can't always make it on time for saturday nights, I arrived 5 mins after the race had been scheduled to start and luckily we had 5 mins left for some reason. That was enough time for me to throw a 3 week old setup on a car that I've not tried it on, and set 2 qualifying laps. Somehow I got 3rd place in the race. I didn't even know how many laps tires and fuel lasted.

The lack of cautions didn't help me either. Due to a slight error by someone I was behind, I lost the draft of the lead pack at the end of the very first lap. I reckon I would've had a chance for a top 2 finish and maybe even the win, if I hadn't lost that draft.

One more thing: the strange laggy start of the pace lap meant that I didn't start in my qualifying position of 5th. The odd start put me about 1/4 of a lap behind everyone and in last place, which is where I ended up starting.

Well, if somebody chooses the #24 then i'm back to grinding at Indy, for big bucks and no whammies. I know this probably will happen and i'll end up owning all 11 NASCARs just to race, lol.

Thank you everyone who came out last night. Its going to be a long 10 weeks. It will be fun and frustrating at times. I will post the next event soon. It is a 500 mile race at Daytona.

I would like to choose the #14 Tony Stewert please

I'll take the #42 . If someone ahead of me wants it I'll pick another.
