:D LOTUS Elise @ Trial Mountain 2 Hours

As stated in the Poll, only an Oil Change & Choice of Tires allowed. Thanx to some test laps & a short report done by "DrifterBR" I tried a different Tire Strategy than I normaly use. He found he could stay with the AI NSX Type Zero in his own Type Zero on T5s & pit on the same lap. Due to the Elise being a little "Underpowered" albeit VERY light, I opted for T6 Tires, figuring that if th NSX got away from me maybe I could make it up by stopping less often. I've run this Enduro several times in the last few days (Crazy heh??) & the best AI Car was always the Type Zero. I hit the enter button & drew: SKYLINE GT-R V Spec (which I assumed would be good for 72 laps like the NSX), RX7 Type RZ, Supra RZ, WRX Sti & LANCER Evo VII.

Pit Schedule:
NISSAN Skyline GT-R V Spec every 4 laps
MITSUBISHI Lancer Evo VII. " 5 "
TOYOTA Supra RZ " 16 "
SUBARU WRX Sti " 16 "
MAZDA RX7 Type RZ " 24 "

Qualified 2nd almost 2 seconds behind the Skyline but expected him to pit every 5 laps, not knowing he'd stop every 4!!! Prepared for a tight 2 hour race w /196 HP on tap & pushed the button.

Great Racing w/Skyline including several lead changes lasted all of 2 laps!!! Guess his tires went away, will check the replay. Only battled him again while lapping him around lap 34 and again near the end.

Pit Stop: Lap 28
46'51.683 (Best Lap 1'36.304 / Lap 25) +52.xxx over Supra

Got into a good race "Finally" w/Skyline, then had a "Brain Fhart" & pitted @ the end of 34 instead of 35!!!

Not as "Close" as I'd hoped. :irked: As I said I've run this race quite a bit lately but was going for max laps (In faster cars) so I could post at "Racing-Line". Nontheless, did notice the NSX Type Zero was always there & good for 72 Laps. OH WELL, just have to reset & try it again...but NOT today!!!!! Thanx again DrifterBR....UB57
:D

SORRY Guys, can't make the columns line up @ Pit Schedule & Finish listings, hope you can figure them out...UB57

Great report 👍 :D 👍

"ON Lap 51, Logitech Force Feedback "Shut Down" completely, car pulled to right & STOPPED. First time I've had this particular malfunction"

I've used mine for approx 50 hours and it's gonne berzerk about 5 times. Usually, I'll lose all steering capability and the throttle is stuck to the floor :(

:D Yeh, "RER"
That's one of TWO glitches I normally have. The feedback alone going away is the other & it's no big deal, I just wait for the next straight, Pause / unplug-replug the USB & continue. Any idea if the MOMO Wheel by Logitech has this fault too??? Thanx...UB57
:D

:( Sorry to hear that, BUT you just saved me over $100.00 :) as I was considering buying one to overcome the 80% braking problem w/mine!!! Thanx again...UB57
:D

I've heard that making sure you use the wheels power supply and not just the USB power can overcome this problem. Drop a PM to vat_man and ask him.

Congrats, UB, and keep up the posts! These are well written, concise, and full of info.

Power supply makes no diff, I still have the lock up/throttle to floor problem, oh once every couple of days or so. I have been pausing during pits on the enduros and unpluging/replugging the usb cable every half hour or so and it hasn't got me in a criticle race yet. I do the same thing between races in the longer pro race series.

:D Hi "VdrSain",
Thanx for the "Tip". I've been pausing @ pit stops to record data anyway, may as well reboot the USB whilst I'm there!!! Thanx again...UB57
:D

Well I've never been able to get it to pause cause I dont have a controller plugged in with my wheel (it seemed to happen more when I did) and my buttons on my wheel are all non functional, so I have to do the mad dive/un-re-plug usb/and back to the wheel to take off racing again.

:D Yeh, I read somewhere that having the controller plugged in was the cause of the problem so I left it unplugged. NOT TRUE, at least in my case. I keep the controller right where I can reach it when the Logitech freezes up...UB57
:D

Well this race is one thing with the zero on it, but a very different thing when your closest competition are the rx7 and the supra rz...:) :)
i 've managed to win the race in a motorracing elise - with the zero (and i must say I was a bit surprised when it allowed me to race with that car, though come to think of it it doesnt even come with racing tires) but with the 190 after many qualifying laps i realised it was possible but it didnt allow for a single mistake- and in a 2 hour race i'm bound to mess up at least once or twice, specially with a not very reliable elise which you have to take to the limit.
anyway, you still have to be very good to beat the race with the 190 even without the zero on it, so congrats!:D

Thanx RUI:
:D I've never been able to really get a grip on the MSE's handling (No pun intended) but am quite fond of the 190. I've still not re-tried this race in an attempt to draw the Zero, guess I'll save that one for a rainy day. Cote is an absolute BLAST w/modded 190, give it a try sometime. Thanx again...UB57

Cote in a modded 190, against GT-One, R-390 . . . you're not gonna tell me it (the 190) can beat the GT-One, are you??
