Stock Lap Times

Following the trend of other people out there, I am creating a thread for my own lap times.

This thread isn't going to have alot of pizazz or glamor, so just know that I am an average player that likes driving random cars on random tracks. Almost all cars will be stock, except for a select few with permanent upgrades (like that Alpine from hell having a chassis stiffener on it).

All cars will be raced in practice mode. No aids, two wheels on the track, etc. Times submitted within the last 7 days are red.

The cars will be sorted by track and laptimes.
The format will be Car / Tires / Time

Citta di Aria:
Lancia Stratos '73 / N2 Tires / 1:55.880

Costa di Amalfi:
Cizeta V16T '94 / N3 Tires / 2:19.133

El Capitan:
Mercedes SLK 230 Kompressor '98 / N2 Tires / 2:11.198
Toyota Prius G Touring Selection (J) '03 / N1 Tires / 2:27.493

George V:
Volvo S60 T5 Sport '03 / N2 Tires / 1:45.183

Mid-Field Raceway:
Ford GT '05 / N3 Tires / 1:15.854

Nurburgring:
Dodge Viper SRT10 '03 / N2 Tires / 8:00.368

Seattle:
Buick GNX '87 / N1 Tires / 2:04.336 (Touched the wall two times, losing about 3mph each time.)

Loox like you need some support here pea, but before i go and attempt to beat your times (the viper round the nurb loox good) there is one thing id like you to clarify...

can you list any horsepower upgrades or weight alterations to the cars listed, or state that none can be made or something?
Or when you say stock, do u mean absolutely untouched?

also, the buick time, where you touched the wall, will just put people off trying to compete, its important that you post clean times, or try harder to get a clean time befor you mention that one is dirty.

basically, a dirty time will not be respected matey.

otherwise, a good idea, but one that i feel GTP will not take to unless there are some more guidelines.. we are very picky you know!!!

:trouble:👍

Tried the stock Viper around Nurburgring for a few laps, and although I still have a lot to learn with racing on N1/2/3's I am still fairly happy with my time.

Nurburgring / Dodge Viper SRT 10 / N2's / 499hp (at replay screen) / 7'42.971

I hope you keep adding your times to your list, it's a great way for you (and others) to compare.

I know that the Buick was a slighty dirty time, but the touches were extremely slight and didn't give me the advantage. Plus, running that Buick in N1 tires was hell.

I'll list any alterations I made to the car in parentheses next to the time. Other than that, the cars will be completely stock. Cars that come with full suspension/transmission will obviously be tuned, but only if the full suspension comes with the vehicle. Chassis refresheners and oil changes are also okay in my book, but I usually don't change the oil unless the car was used.

Also, it's more of a personal reference post than a challenge. >.>

@mullen:
I would say something along the lines of "CURSE YOUUU~!!!" but I don't think I could ever put out a time that fast with the car. D:
Nice time, btw.

Thanks, still more time to find though. But I get too frustrated on 'N' tires, so I don't think I can go much faster. You should try and get your time down, it's a good opportunity to learn the track.

I have wanted to organise a stock race competition for a while now. Here is an idea I have come up with, with my cousin who is as addicted to GT4 as much as I am.

================ GT4 Stock Race Series ======================

**Each week a race will be held on one track with one car, initially Tsukuba
with the (have to vote on what car to use first). Then the winner of each
round will pick the track and car. No one car can be used more than once
and that includes sub-models, not the year/make of the car. The same track
cannot be raced more than once either. This race series is more about driver
skill rather tuning settings which enhance the car's performance and it
provides a much more equal layout for drivers. The rules are as follows**

---------------Rules--------------
Cars: All except race cars
Mods: None allowed
Wing: Yes (settings have to be 0)
Oil Change: Yes
Driver Aids: Optional
Tires: Sport (any)
Tracks: Any
----------------------------------

I don't have that device to upload my replay data so times will have to be honest. I appreciate your honesty Pea about the buick hitting the wall. I have always enjoyed the stock layout of the cars in GT4 as it gives me an idea of how the cars would be like in real life (even though GT4 is not completely realistic eg: engine sounds but that's another story)

I'd definitely join that race series if you ever start it. :D

Also, this might not be updated too much in the following weeks.
I have Easter, scholarships, Eagle project, and general stress attacking me on all sides.

I know this thread wont be updated too much, so I thought I'd get the wheels in motion.
This thread is dedicated to stock lap times which means no mods at all apart from the standard oil change. To start off with a little variety as well, I suggest 3 cars to be used on the Tsukuba Circuit.

1. BMW M3 CSL
2. Holden Monaro
3. Mitsubishi Evo 8 MR

***********Rules************
- No modifications
- Oil change OK
- Choice of Sport types
- Driver Aids up to you (you'd be a fool to have them on in stock cars)
- No Wing
- Clean laps (no cheating lads and lass's)

The grid is equal now. No Turbo Stage 3 or Camber to help you. You have to rely purely on the given car's standard form. By racing like this, we can see who are some of the best GT4 drivers in the world. To some it may seem boring but I like to have an equal field to race on.

Hi guys nice thread here.
I am interested in the Midfield challenge, will be giving that a go for sure.
My GT '05 will be completely stock and no Aids....I like them rules lol :D
its the only way to play!!👍
Oh and could the Leaderbourd be kept up by putting in the leading time and by the Friver, if thats cool....just saves everyone posting times that are below par on the fastest laps.
Thanks, Im looking to stir soem intrest here on the Midfield lap everyone.
I'll get my time up real soon using N'3's only.
Cheers

EDIT: Alrighty then, went and purchased me a GT. Midnight is the best lol:D
Anyhow...didn't take to long to achieve goal time, maybe 4 laps and a restart first lap- (Gotta get use to understeer etc that comes from no ability to change suspension).
I drifted a lil bit to get round some corners(end of second straight corner) but, it helped....backin it in..

Midfield Time: FORD GT '05/ N3 tyres/ 1.15.391

Plenty more time in it if you wanna give it a go to!!
I will re-Challenge whoever tries my time...lets see what you guys got ay:lol:
it'd be nice to see some times please!!
Thanks:tup: ,

Edit: I scared im off...sorry jimeez lol just jokin:D

Edit 2: hey Blake wassup man??
Up for a challenge ay??
Ima give it another go now, I havn't got a MAX Drive or whatever, however I am more than willing to use a dig cam file.
With that said replays will be online real soon after, if someone requests.;)
Wassup AusboyRacer man:D
Time for the Challenge ay?? ;)

Well I've run a few laps on Midfield in my time so I reckon I can make you work a bit :sly:

Ok ran a few laps in the Ford GT '05 and I had to change the stock S2 tyres and buy some N3 tyres to match what you guys are running ... anyway its stock other than the tyres with no oil change and showing up at 586hp in the settings screen and all assists turned off ...
( oh! .. its the white one also :p )

It took about 3 laps to get the feel of the car and its heavy braking but after that its just all down to timing I guess :) less than 10 laps in so far and I'm at 1'13.411 with a good bit left on the track to collect with some effort 👍
I will leave it at that for now until Rusty has a chance to get back on the track ;)
replay saved and will post upon request .. but there's a low 1'12 probably faster around mid 1'11 on the cards if this was a BC race and a weeks worth of effort
Cheers
Ron.
