This is a thread series for the seasonal time trials that focuses on completing the challenges (i.e. beating the gold target times) with stock versions of the cars. This means that instead of maximizing your PP with upgrades and focusing on getting the fastest laps on the in-game leaderboard, you are attempting to complete the challenges with the bare minimum amount of 'car' and money-spent as is possible. Since SSTT#8 some of the gold time have become increasingly challenging to reach with this approach, and some have been shown to be impossible. These may require much more time and practice for some people. PD’s new format has started to include some TTs that require SRF to be on and others where it is turned off. Originally the courtesy car TTs which allowed SRF to be on or off had much more flexible gold times for the non-SRF users, and so were not included here, but now that gold is much more of a challenge I think these courtesy car TTs should be included here (provided the option to turn off SRF exists).

Warning: Some of these challenges are getting to be extreme and should be approached with caution! :banghead:

This thread is for people to post their lap times who have used the following limitations:

1) Car must be stock: no upgrades to cars are permitted (this includes upgrades that do not increase PP such as transmissions).
2) Fresh oil changes in order to temporarily increase HP and PP are not permitted. If you have done an oil change recently you should lower your car's power to the non-fresh-oil-change HP level or wait until the HP has returned to the OEM oil level.
3) You must use the original tires that the car came with.
4) No "Car Settings" like Brake Balance can be adjusted.
5) No SRF or ASM is allowed: other Driver Assists are permitted. [SRF is obviously permitted if PD has forced drivers to employ it.]

Stock Seasonal Time Trials #11:

Land Rover / Range Rover Evoke Super Lap: target 1:08.000
[Stock Evoque Coupe Dynamic '13 = 415 PP - 245 HP - 1,640 KG - Dirt]

Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32, R33, R34) Non-Racing Car Super Lap: target 1:25.000
[Stock ???]*

Shelby GT350 Super Lap: target 1:31.000
[Courtesy Car]

* There are 25 Skyline GT-R entrants. We will have to wait and see...

My times so far with automatic transmission and steering wheel:

Evoque - 1:07.950
Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur (R34) '02 - 1:26.651
Shelby GT350 - 1:30.270

Finally my second favorite car in the game has a time trial and SRF is an option. But at least I managed to gold it without SRF on my very first lap. :sly:

I tried the Evoque in arcade TT with SRF off and had to take a break to unlearn what I had been doing because dirt tires with SRF is way different than with SRF off...wow.

Edit: Been able to get a 1:25.852 in the GT-R (R34) '00 due to the lower weight and better handling. I was hoping the V-spec II Nur (R34) with the higher power-to-weight would have been good, but the handling is horrible and it often feels like a FR instead of a 4WD.

Been having a go at this tonight as usual......

Land Rover / Range Rover Evoke = 1:07.388

Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (R34) = 1:26.386

Shelby GT350 = 1:28.474

I will try the 'GT-R (R34) '00' soon too, as you have, to see if i can manage the gold. 👍

A quick go at these resulted in..

Shelby GT350 - 1:29.629 (Need to don your Raybans for this one!)

Land Rover - 1:07.495

GT-R M-spec Nur (R34) 02 - 1:26.509

So it looks like the GT-R (R34) '00 is a better choice. I'll be giving that a go later but I don't hold out much hope for a gold time.

Could try the R34 N1. They are still stock from factory right?

Edit -
Don't waste your credits, unless you already have one, it's definitely slower than the GT-R (R34) '00. I suspect events like these are a cynical ploy to make us buy lots of Nissans in the vain hope that we find one that is actually enjoyable to drive.

I managed to complete the Evoque and the Shelby

The Shelby is a piece of cake [1:29.666]

So far my Evoque time is 1:07.914. I will try it with SRF soon but I'm not optimistic that I would be able to do it....

GT-R M-spec Nur (R34) 02 got a 1:24.7 in stock trim. Cant take the credit myself as I could only manage a 25.4 after many days of gnashing and wailing at the screen, but fortuntely I had a ringer in the house last night so asked him to have a try and after all of 15 mins he did the time

Bloody kids :grumpy:

Hit'n run: (replays attached)

Evoque - 1:07.242 [RPL008]
Shelby GT350 - 1:28.701 [RPL007]

Skyline GT-R
R32 '89 453pp/304bhp/1430kg 1:27.839
R33 LM Limited 457pp/319bhp/1540kh 1:26.1xx
R34 V spec II Nür '02 472pp/336bhp/1560kg 1:25.515
R34 M spec Nür '02 475pp/335bhp/1580kg 1:24.966 [RPL006]

The M spec has shorter gears and it turns much better than the V spec II.
The game rates it with higher pp too. Keys for driving the M spec : use gears 2-4 , shift up at 7500 rpm and don't be afraid to slide the rear.

H-Shifter+Clutch for the three (plus 1).

Shelby - Very easy, got it on the second lap. The car is fun. All aids off.

Evoque - 1.06:960 (14.6km) All aids off (minus SRF). This challenge was fun.

Skyline - 1.24:995 (89.7Km) M-spec. Also did 100.8km in the V-spec and got 1.25:8xx. All aids off minus ABS 1. I attached the replay [001]. @MadMax already gave good advice. Now I will use the data logger to compare my lap with his and try to learn something from his driving technique. Already used the data logger: it's possible to lap under 1.24:500 (if my lap was fused with MadMax's lap). Also MadMax steers way more than I do although we achieve similar g lateral forces. I believe the optimum point to be in between.

Now only need to take the Evoque into Arcade to try the challenge w/out SRF.

Evoque Arcade Mode - all aids off - 1.07:135 - took me about 10 laps, and this was the first "gold" lap. Replay attached [002].

Time: 1:24.862

Assists: Nothing
DS3

There may be a small language barrier involved here , but this lap was done in a tuned SKYLINE GT-R V spec II Nûr (R34) '02.

The acceleration / top speed is way higher than in stock , non oil changed car and it's easy to spot that an Aero Kit is installed on that car aswell.

Yes there is a bodykit. Basically it is my tuned Skyline but I used another tuning tap so I would run this TT in stock still with the bodykit (there's no performance increase anyway). BUT! It turns out it didn't reset my weight reduction. So that's why I'm driving much quicker.:boggled:

So VERY VERY sorry I didn't check my tuning thoroughly. I just purchased an M Spec Nur so that is definitely stock now.

Been having a few more runs at these again over the last couple of days.....

Land Rover / Range Rover Evoke = 1:06.916

All I could manage with the GT-R's so far...

Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) '00 = 1:25.741
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nür (R34) '02 = 1:25.459
Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nür (R34) '02 = 1:25.104

I will surely try again soon.
