Paul Stoddart has said that he will quite if Max Mosley does not resign:

"If Max does not resign then I am not staying in F1. Life is too short to be involved in this political s**t. That's it as far as I am concerned. I will finish this season off and see what happens. If Max stays, I am going to put the team up for sale."

Pretty radical if you ask me ... It would be a shame not to have Paul in F1 anymore. :(

He also said this:

"The teams have had a gutful of Max ... either he goes or F1 as we know it today will go. I think a breakaway series is guaranteed. It doesn't matter who replaces him. He is so bad now that anyone could do it."

Do you think he's serious?

Suicide for Stoddart, Max's staying. Stoddart's a character, but like when Eddie Irvine left, I doubt he'll be missed that much. I wonder who's gonna buy them out then...

stoddart doesnt usually talk just to talk. especially on something like this.

mosley isnt going to resign though, as he thinks hes gods gift to the world.

Omnis F1.....mmmm, sounds nice.

i'd be sure to smack a GTPlanet sticker somewhere on the car. ;)

Paul Stoddart is a ****ing psycho. Someone buy him a margarita.

Sadly, I don't think the majority of F1 fans would care if Stoddart left F1 since his team has essentially been the laughingstock of F1 for around 20 years. I see no reason why Mosley would leave at this point.

Now that's why I'm starting to lose interest in F1.

F1 is more like political crap then a sport. It shoulda been like in the 50's with those B-E-A-utiful Ferrari's and Mclaren's and back when Alfa Romeo raced 👍

maybe we should scrounge up all our pennies together and start a GTPlanet Formula 1 team, $50 sounds like a reasonably asking price

Umm, McLaren didn't race in the 50s. Otherwise, you make a good point; they need to stop getting tangled up in politics, and get back to just making sure there are good, entertaining races to watch.

Sorry for that, but you have to admit. Back then the cars were like WOW!! and now it's all about politics and that kind of crap.

Did you see Le Mans Legends a month ago or something? With all those oldies like the Jag D-type and such, the old Aston Martin that Nick Mason drove? It was like the most beautiful race I've ever seen in my live.

I call shotgun for the name!

Fam1ne... :D

I remember Bernie earlier saying he would rather have the top teams racing 3 cars in their team than seeing the bottom teams fighting for something like 15th place. That said, i dont think Paul Stoddart has much weight to throw around. I do like the guy though, but i also think he also talks alot too.(maybe he enjoys the attention?)

Paul has got balls the size of church bells. No brains, but the balls the size of church bells.

Normally I'd say to Stoddart "Don't let the door hit you on the way out.", his usual antics wear thin on me (see AUGP05 for prime example)....but I agree with him on this point. Max needs to go. He has done more to erode F1 and divide the teams and major players than anyone in recent memory. There is a time for standing firm but usually that is backed up with logical choices. Max has none.

His latest GPDA thing is another example of his pointless stupidity.

"I control everything and you can all go @&*$ off." Max says...

I might not agree with Stoddart's threat tactics but I agree with his statement.

A challenge someone here to name 3 'GOOD" things Max has done for F1 in the past 3 seasons. Not your opinion on what is good but actions he has started or floated that the F1 world (drivers, managers, writers, fans) agree are good...

Anyone...Anyone????

I, for one, would LOVE too see all the teams that could run three cars. It would make F1 so much more interesting and team dynamics even more so. All the current F1 teams could field a 3rd car, even Minardi and Jordon could if they had too. Not that we need 2 more moving chicanes out there.

Stoddart's weight is the fact his team is the entry into F1. Look how many of the current crop of top drivers got their start in F1 in a black car from Italy. Granted this only goes so far and ole Paul has been milking this for years. Though with Midland taking over for Jordon Pauls' case might be a touch strong as his team is the only entry team left.

i could really care less if stodddart left, he talks too much, but without minardy which is basically the launching pad for great f1 careers, it might actuallly be sad, mosley has to go.

Good luck to Paul! He's been trying to sell the team for two years...

Max does need to go though.

yea, it would be sad to see Paul Stoddart go in my opinion because he's the only one of the other 9 who has the balls to speak what is on his mind. the others seems to just want to please the FIA(save fot the USGP). it's a shame he is leader of the worst team in current F1. if he was in a higher team like Williams(arrgghhh) or Ferarri, then he would have a lot more say then his current team. but still, I will miss him if that washed up, money grubbing bastard Max won't resign.

PAUL FOR PRESIDENT......of the FIA.

rock.

You know how much something like that costs?

what? $50 seems a bit steep to you?

*cough*sarcasm*cough*

AND SO WAS THE FIRST POST!

im well aware that even the toilet paper f1 teams wipe their ass with costs more than $50...
