Anyone else have it?
I got it the other day, and so far it seems to be a good one to get the old grey matter functioning.
You play as Anya, a professional thief, in the first level, you need to break into the museum and steal certain valuable artifacts from the upcoming display. Sounds easy, right? Wrong! It is similar to Splinter Cell, in that you need to take advantage of shadows, watch out for guards and security cameras, and avoid being spotted. Although you can always knock out a guard if he spots you, and then hide until the fuss dies down, which in itself can be a challenge, as they come looking with torches, so shadows alone won't help you. You also need to be quiet, almost silent, in order to not draw attention to yourself.
There is a good array of tools at your disposal, which, realistic or not, you need to pick up en-route, as they are conveniently left lying around the place. These tools include:-
- Lockpicks (a fun mini-game in itself)
- A sonic visor, which allows you to see through walls, and in the dark (Daredevil style)
- A blowtorch (for cutting purposes only)
- Sonic Emitter, to divert guards, can be used in conjunction with the sonic visor (although not reccomended)
- Nightvision (self explanatory)
- Trackers, to track guards and security systems (I usually shoot guards in the butt with these, makes for a few lauighs)
- Nullifier, for stunning guards and temporarily disabling security systems.
This is a fairly non-violent game, as no-one gets killed, which is quite a refreshing change from some titles out there.
All in all I would probably give it a 7/10 as it really gets you thinking.
It is available on PC and PS2
I hasn't recieved great reviews, but I would personally recommend it
