strange online event

I was racing on 600pp suzuka earlier today. I was leading most of the first lap until I got passed by someone with subaru in their name (driving and nsx) just before the 90 degree turn leading to the chicane. Just after I start breaking for the chicane, I get nailed into the barricade hard. As I am backing up I see subura guy and gtp_digitalrelay beside me. I figured digitalrelay took us both out. When I started going, I was either in third or fourth. On the straight away one of the cars in front of me was disapearing and reappearing so I figured things were getting laggy. On the hairpin, two cars spun out in front of me but when I passed I only went up one spot. On the last lap digitalrelay caught back up to me and was pressing hard. As we are making the final turn I hear him coming along my right side. When I passed the finish line I wasn't sure if I beat him or not. When I looked at the time, I got second but it said digitalrelay was still running. Somehow during that lag I lapped some of the other cars (I'm pretty sure that I didn't lap anyone during the race). I'm wondering what other racers experienced. Digitalrelay, do you remember that race? What did you experience? I was in a dark blue 07 wrx sti
 
I kind of remember that race. Once it gets laggy like that, it can be pretty crazy. I've seen cars end up in the stands and the infield at Daytona before. I also have seen things go out of whack with number of laps and position. I think it comes down to bad lag can just make things go haywire.

I believe you are referring to subaru7070 in that race. He seemed to be a pretty good driver, but he took me out on several occasions despite me giving him plenty of room to get by. I think I may have taken you out when he spun me out, but to be honest, I'm not sure. Mostly I was trying to decide how best to avoid his PIT maneuver and contemplating whether I should brake check him or not. After my third trip into the sand I gave him a mild brake check on the long straight. It didn't help.
 
For this particular incident, I was second behind him. I was in the barrier so quickly that I think it was the lag that did it. I was wondering if different people ended up seeing different results. Maybe your ps3 thought you were second instead of me.

Ya it was subaru7070. He was a little dirty. I would have won the race right before if he didn't knock me. His nsx was very quick on the straights. Although it was my first time racing the wrx and I hadn't tuned the gears very much.
