Strange online play...

So I was in an online rally lobby a few minutes ago, and we were in practice mode on a custom dirt Liege track, the room host left, and the new host started the race. The screen went black for 20-30 seconds, then when the race starts, we are lined up at Toscona dirt, at night, and fireworks are shooting out of random places around the track, not where they should be. Another thing, I had no gauges, no map, no list of who was racing, nothing but the road ahead and a rear view.

Has anyone else had this happen? It was a first, and quite frankly, a very bizarre happening for me.

This has happened to me 3-4 times. The fireworks is new, never heard of, or had that.

It must be a major glitch with the game that needs to be patched. However, I have been experiencing a similar problem when the race starts, the screen goes black for a while and I can't "pause" the race to quit. I also can't see the laptime or the people I am racing.

However, I do think that fireworks firing in random places and racing on a track different to the one that you picked are quite interesting :) .
 
The last days the game goes crazy at me and my mates too, i have experienced the issue that you said and one of my mates was racing with the icons/buttons/info that you see when you enter the track and you dont exit the pits.
 
Is it possible for anyone to get this on tape the next time it happens to anybody? I would like to see more of this issue.
 
Well, short of turning the camera on every time someone starts a race, I'm fairly certain there is no way of knowing when this is going to happen.

If the track was created or downloaded by the previous host and he left, maybe that screwed things up.

I think this is the most likely explanation of why this bug is happening.
 
I sometimes get this strange instance online where if i'm racing on a created course, the game will think the other players are on a completely different track.

The icons on the track map will show them way outside of the track with their icon flipping and twisting like crazy.

I haven't had this happen for a while now, but it might occur again some time.

I don't know what could explain this.
