Strange Repaint

Bought an Audi R8 5.2 V10 and went to GTAuto repainted it WR Blue Mica (The Subaru Blue color). When it was done being repainted, its panel behind the door changed from a silver to Carbon Fiber, weird since this car does not have a stock paint with a carbon side panel option

That sounds awesome! Did you figure out if it was a glitch or does it always do this?

The same thing happened to me. I repainted mine chrome red. It looks pretty cool with that carbon fiber panel. I'll be putting this car up for trade in a few days.

I don't know, I'll buy another one with a different base color and paint it with a different color, the cromeline R8 has carbon panels behind the doors too

It always does that.

There are three coloring options for two-tone cars. For the cars with two-tone colors, applying paint will either override both colors into one solid color, make the second color a different shade of the paint chip used (like it does on some striped cars) or it will change the second color to another option (in this case, unpainted carbon fiber) that won't change regardless of the color you use.

This is cool, I painted mine dark blue or something hoping it would stay silver but I was actually happy it changed to carbon fibre, White with dark sideblades ftw!

Sadly no they will always disappear.
