Strategies for American Events in GT4

I am having some issues getting the right car for the races in the American Events. I have a totally decked out Saleen S7 right now and still seem to have some issues with it. I have tried a full setup with Ford GT40 and Callaway all of which need almost perfcect driving every lap to win the races. B-spec loses everytime.

The S7 I find I have to detune to do best with, using only stage 2 setup to get better traction. Still the competiton, especially in the first event, the cup event is feirce even with what appears to be some of the best american cars in the game.

What am I missing guys?

Make sure you are completely comfortable with the track and the car, learn how to drive without the TCS and ASM (they slow you down), some times you think you’re doing the best times but they can get better as you get to know the best way into and out a curb.

Take me as an example I thought that license test IA-14 was impossible to gold but the problem was that I was getting in the wrong place in the beginning of the curb.

thanks for your advice. No question that knowing the tracks well is important. I just wondered if there were some cars that gave you a better margin of error. Right now the saleen, even the caddy cien both max tuned leave only 1 or 2 turns over 5 laps that you can make even a single mistake on. Thats pretty slim.

For me, I picked up the Z06 Vette, modified it of course & had no problems winning the series....Then again, the Vette was pumping out around 650HP! :dopey:
