Has anyone here ever played a game called Street Legal on PC? It has a base for a very good game although there were a lot of problems. I think, if you had a modding things like on Street Legal but in GT4 it would be gr8. Of course there would need to be more parts but it would be gr8.

No, then it would be dubbed "Gran Ricer 4" and we don't want that. Down with bodykits and down with rice. I personally don't see the point in bodykits, other than show, and some aren't even good enough for that.

I didnt mean bodykits really, i kinda meant the performance parts, like u have to buy all the parts and fit them, not just buy a turbo and it fits it automatically

I don't see the big deal on that. It's just a game, it can't be perfect. I'd rather see more tracks and cars, better graphics, and better AI than having the same stuff from GT3 and just being able to fit your own turbo.

I agree, but I think it would be better if you could fit stuff as well.

I think that the fumes from that Charger are getting to you. I just read the newest Motor Trend magazine and they did a whole thing on the newest market for tuning cars, imports. You should read it, might give you some insight into something you obviously don't yet know about. Stop dissing other peoples cars because they like something different than you. Are you gonna' dis-own your own kid because he wants a Beagle instead of a Pitbull? You should respect other peoples choice of style and forget the differences between muscle car and sport compact, because, when it all comes down to it, both era's just like cars.

I think the fumes from your nitrous Civic are getting to you.

No one is attacking tuning or import cars. Tuning is a big part of Gran Turismo. But, body kits are not a part of tuning nor should it be a part of Gran Turismo. That is why you will never see body kits or any else that is not part of real racing in Gran Turismo.

Thank you; that was all I was trying to get through. I wasn't trying to " dis' " on someone elses opinion at all. Oh and Fast510, if you have so much feeling for people's opinions, then why can't I share mine. That's what got me, it contradicts what you were trying to say. I don't want to argue either, just wanted to get that through.

You muscle-heads do realize not ALL bodykits are cosmetic, right? They do actually benefit the car in different ways. They can make the car lighter (carbon-fibre pieces) and can add valuable downforce (wings, canards, diffusers, etc...) Although I must admit most of the crap you see on the roads are just ricers in their prime environment, like adding a rear touring wing on an FF car

Yeah that's the only thing that I can't stand, FF's with spoilers. Truthfully though body kits don't bother me much, only the outrageous ones. I mean if I were to see a Silvia S15 or something like that with a body kit, chances are it's functional in ways, and if those ways aren't overexagerated then it's fine by me. Just no ricers.

Glad to see we're on equal levels :)

Yeah, FF's with wings annoy me, if they're spoilers that you can get from the factory, fine, but if they're meant to look like a race car wing, with endplates and mainplane, it just makes me cringe, especially on crappy FF's (like the Tercel down my street...) :irked: :p

Yep, the only type of "spoiler" that should ever be placed on an FF is maybe something like a "lip" that just comes off of the body, no bars that connect to a wing.

be quiet you two... shhhhhh.....
we don't want ricers now putting GT Wings on the front of their cars now do we?

As a long time fan of both gran turismo and street legal i would like to keep them seperate because they each bring different things to the table. An analogy would be combining two really good things and making a conglomerant that was just plain horrible. I would like to keep them seperate so i can build a full engine in street legal and go 260 mph into a wall and have all the parts of my car go flying and then play gt3 and gt4 soon to hone my realistic driving skills.

On the front? I'm not even going to begin to wonder how that works

Have you ever seen a race car? They have wings, you know! ;)

*wonders if they fill up the gas tank with Red Bull*

fwd dpnforce, y0!!!!!!!!!11

No, a wing goes on the back, a front splitter is what adds downforce on the front...

You can put wings on the fron of your car, your right generally it's a splitter thats used for front downforce but I've seen a small number of cars with a wing. Thet don't look the same as on the back but I've seen an MR2 with one on the bonnet, not a race car though and it looked stupid, but it has been done.
