Street modified time trials.

I am interested in starting a series that focuses on modified street cars with unlimited power modification, but with only sports hard tires, where each driver has to try to post the fastest lap possible on a given track.

Did this in a lounge with a few friends once and it was a load of fun. The rules are subject to change so please provide input. I am considering making it a points-based series with a number of events in a season, but I want to see how much interest is gained first.



Update: the new rules under consideration are as follows; sports hard tires, 500pp, street cars only, No weight limit or drivetrain restriction. Thoughts?

I'd be up for that. Sounds like a good idea, mt Aso would be a good type of "open road" strip for a streeter race I think, London, Tokyo......too many sweet locations to list.

I wasn't thinking that mostly because I don't really care for any of the street courses in the game aside from ssr5. I was thinking of basing it more closely around the world time attack championship, or even making it a race series instead of time trials. I'm still very open to any ideas, thus why I came here first instead of straight into a full thread.

I'm considering making it racing now, because with testing it is proving to be more fun. Sports hards tires are supposed to make more driving skill involved, so those are most likely going to be the tire. Do not worry though, because at 500pp most cars have less than 400hp

After tonight's testing, I've settled on 500p with sports hard tires. It allows all sorts of different cars to be competitive. Tonight my friend was in an EK Civic Type R and kept up with my r32 skyline which was tuned under the same regulations.
