I have created the Streets of Oakdale by collecting my own GPS data and using Googles satellite imagery.
Lateral Accuracy: this track laterally, is within
4 meters of its real world counter part at any time within the lap.
Elevation: unfortunately we can use Elevation data for GT6 course maker. The real world track (2.95 miles) has 45 feet of elevation change. Nearly all 45 feet of the climb is from the start finish line to turn one... then about 20 feet of decent is into turn number 2, then the rest of the track is flat, elevation is pretty accurate for 3/4ths of the track
Visual ques: I spent 3 hours tweaking the barrier distance to allow more scenery to be as similar to real life as possible with our available tools for Eiffel. The result is less than breathtaking. But it's as good as it will get unless we get a major update to the path editor. Which I don't expect to come anytime soon, if ever.
