Really, really struggling on S-Class. Have 4 races left, the 630PP at Daytona (S-4), the 700PP at Fuji (S-7), the 700PP at Suzuka (S-10) and the Ferrari F40 '92 race (S-6).

I don't yet have the Ferrari, but cannot get better than 13th on either of the others. Have tried with the Mine's BNR34 Skyline, the Ford GT Concept LM, the tuned Elise and the tuned Corvette, but really struggle. All the other cars seem to pull away from me and I get very harsh penalties, whilst they can happily ram me off the course with no punishment.

I can't believe there is a more powerful car than the GT Concept LM in the game (other than the F2007), so am I using the cars badly, or am I using the wrong cars?

Look on youtube as people put videos of routes to win the races easily on there.

I used recently the Mine's BNR34 Skyline to complete S7 and S10 by finishing in 1st position. (standard ddriving physics)
Driving aids off , weight to minimum and redused horsepower to match the 750pp limit.
pretty stable ride and when can't take the corner well just pull the hand brake and the car will rotate around the sharpest corner in a powerslide.

regards

I can't get the last race in the S-series down.

I've used my Viper/Tuned, GT-R, Ford GT, Amuse S2K, Mine's R34, Blitz Skyline, and i think another also.

I have done this all last night til like 3AM. I tried a bunch of settings, figures out that Least weight while detuning makes an impact. But like what the OP said, most cars just pull away.

As for my last attempt with the Mine's R34, I've gotten to 4th place (only car that can get there..) and decided it was just way too overly hard to beat. The car's that were in the top 3 were the Amuse, Blitz, and if i remember, a Ford test GT, or not.

I used the Amuse S2k, but that car is over the limits in it's stock form. I cant get that thing to keep up and pass the other 10 cars... help me please, this last race is killing me... i can use F2007 in this race right?.... i guess i need to save money

It's been revealed in previous threads that professional physics makes the three races very difficult after the October update.

DubVipers, you need to finish S-class in order to buy the F2007.

I took days to finally beat those same events. Just keep trying and then you will get it. Or go race online to improve your skills and go back to it after awhile. It helped me.

I was in the same boat as you until this morning! Finally got 3rd in S-10 after months of (intermittent) trying. I used the tuned vette and set it up based on a lot of reading in this forum. It seems to me that you need to find a car and setup that will let you do consistent laps of 2:00 - 2:02. If you can't manage those times then just keep practicing. There used to be a lot of talk about only entering races when the grid order had slow cars at the front, but with the latest updates the order doesn't vary much. Good luck!

After lurking around this forum for a while, gaining racing tips and tunes for the S Class races, I finally cleared the S Class races. S-10 was by far the hardest one for me.

I used a setup for the Amuse from here. I would run about 10 laps on the free run, go online and usually get bounced around so hard I wondered why I was there, then go to the S-10 event and make a few trys at it. After repeating this 10 times or more I started getting a feel for the car and the track. Braking and turning points started becoming automatic.

I then got "lucky" and raced online for 2 or 3 hours with a really good bunch of racers that were courteous so it allowed me get more experience in traffic. After that I went back to the S-10 event and took 3rd place.

My experience, compared to most others on this forum, isn't sufficient to give much advice, but here is what helped for me...

1) The more I relaxed (breath normally) and slow down in the tight corners the better the lap times.

2) I pushed hard up to the corner and BEFORE starting to turn braked hard. Just BEFORE slowing down enough to take the corner and while still braking, turned the wheel slightly and it slid and aligned the car into the corner. This may not be the "right" way, but it worked for me. I'll listen to any advice here.

3) Drive the track as if there is no one else is around you. Don't get caught up with the other cars and what they are doing. When a car is in front of me, I try to resist going faster to pass it. When a car is chasing me from behind, I try to resist going faster to get away. I did enough practice laps to remember what I need to do on each part of the track and I try to do that. The only real issue with other cars is not to hit them if you are going faster than them. I have reached a Zen like resolve to not worry if I get punted from behind. There is nothing I can do about it and it doesn't help to get worked up. Just get back on the track an get back in the groove.

This post was way too long. Good luck with S-10 and I hope to see you online.

PS. Thanks for all the great help and advice on this forum.

I strongly suggest you hook your ps up to the internet and get the Spec III update. The penalties are much more fair in Spec III.

After you get the update, try my Tuned Vette setup (Link in the post above). Lots of people have passed S10 using that setup.
