Well I've gotten as far as Expert, GT All Stars with all Gold but am now stuck here.

Problem is I don't have a car that comes close to competing with the 900+HP race cars I'm up against. The baddest thing I have is the Bugatti but it doesn't seem to handle well enough to compete with race cars.

Only thing I find is the new car dealers have a couple of race vehicles but the 20M price kinda leaves me out. Only accumulated something like 3M.

What's the solution? Network has been down for several days so maybe the online dealer will have a solution.

Any suggestions on how to get a competitive car for a reasonable price?

Thanks.

Get the zr1 and max it out and race modify it then look on the tuning section on how to tune it, then do like wind and you will win a Toyota minolta take that to the all-stars and you will have no problem getting gold

Three million you say, save up a million more and buy a Peugoet 908 HDI FAP, whichever one doesn't really matter. It'll beat the pack rather well. Or you could get a Z06 or ZR1 and race modify them in GT AUTO. Then go to like the wind with the Vette and when you gold it will give you a Toyota 88C-V, which is the fastest non formula car in the game. It'll easily beat GT All Stars.

start grinding then save up to the Peugeot 908 said above

Grind to 4million, and get the 908 as others have mentioned. I did.

When PSN is back up, do the k-car race at the Eiffel track. Each win nets just over 100,000cr. Race takes just over 3 minutes....

So you do the race 40 times (120 laps, 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 hours depending how quick you are) and then maybe you're not so keen on doing the A spec all stars anymore. Problem solved!

The Corvette ZR-1 RM can win that championship easily. I actually won the first two races with a fully tuned Nissan GT-R SpecV before screwing up on the third race and having to start all over again. The Mazda Furai concept (won from B-Spec Miata race) will win some of the races even easier than the ZR-1 RM.

With your 3 million credits you can afford a Suzuki ESCUDO Dirt Trial '98 and Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98. So if you come across those in the UCD, get one because they'll win easily. The ESCUDO is faster and easier to drive, but less rare and doesn't exactly fit in with the opposing cars (all LMP cars or JSPC cars). The R390 GT1 Road Car and Ford GT LM cars can win as well.

When you say max out the Corvette ZR1, does that mean to add the turbos or the supercharger upgrade as well?

I've done the RM and the level 3 engine mods but wasn't sure if I need the forced injection stuff. I believe I'm at something around 780hp.

Thanks.

908 is a great car that you can win with, without it being a cake walk. But if you want something that just gets you through it, then go with the FGT.

Yes maxing it out means adding all upgrades to it, except for chassis reinforcement (you should almost never use this). Once fully upgraded you'll have close to 880 HP, and with engine break-in you'll have 905 or so. The ZR1 RM needs the extra power because it is underpowered compared to the other cars.

Outstanding, that was the ticket. Maxed out the ZR-1 and won the Wind event, although the final Indy race was close as I got lead out of corners but they nearly caught me at the line.

I love my ZR-1!

Now back to the Expert All Star Championship.

Thanks.

You actually need to do a race modification first cause then your 200k spent on parts goes out the window when you race modify. thats for the backwards advice dude
