Stupid Packages

OK, A few days ago I took out my strategy guide took out a sharpie and went to each and every spot that the guide says everyone.(some not there since i had some packages before)I go to the last one at 99 packages found and there is no one at the last place! I crossed out EACH AND EVERY one of the places and looked throughly through the places, and still only 99. Is there any way you can help? I hope you can since you are VC Fanatics.

Did you have any of them found prior to using your list--if so you may have gone to a place and looked--didn't see it there and thought you already grabbed it but were actually not looking in the correct spot.

To see if this is what happened you have to do the following (I had to do it when I had 2 left after using the list--I went through the whole list 3 or 4 timees before I did the following):

Start a new game-- go through the list again and collect all the packages-- you should come to one that isn't there--just look harder for it and you should find it. You will have to use one of the methods to get early access to the second island and then you can use the police heli to get most of them.

The ones I was missing were:

the one behind the malibu--I looked in the bigger lot behind the malibu--not the tiny one right behind the building.

The one behind Phils place--its actually right next to the water behind the pylon if you are looking from the east of it--its easily seen if looking from the south or from the water side.

Ignore the fact that the pictures for two of them are wrong - they're the Washington Beach police station and Fort Baxter one. No police uniform yet (Copland is next on the list) means I can't stay still long enough to take photos...

I had a game which wouldn't go past 99 packages either - I think the one on the beach disappeared. I restarted that one. And it's not due to cheating, since I've never entered a cheat.

Famines guide shows pictures of all of them-- you might want to look at them and see if you were looking in the right places with "your" guide.

Thats what he (we) meant...

When I was collecting my packages I was missing one as well. I checked through the whole guide a tremendous amount of times. But it turns out it was the one in the life gaurd shack on the beach, and that I had been checking the wrong shack each time...:banghead:
 
I had trouble with that one at one point. It wasn't there (I was checking the correct one), but I loaded up, looked there, no, loaded up, looked there, no, loaded up looked there, hey it's there.....I don't know why but it just wasn't there...But eventually it appeared so yeah.

Try this (you will have to go through the list again) if you are sure you checked every place famine listed and looked in the right place.

Remove your memory card and Reset your console and start a new game. After the game has loaded--push the x button to get through the cutscenes and then pause it. Insert your memory card and then load your save game...then look for the packages one more time. If they aren't there, I don't know what to tell you.

I read that the above will fix your game if one of your jumps is not registering (and you have hit them all correctly)it might work for packages.

If you are not (ABSOLUTELY) sure if you looked in the right places--start a new game and find all of them (mark them off) you will have to sneak to the second island and grab the police helicopter to reach some of them--when you come to one you can't find..look harder until you find it (that was the one you were missing)--thats how I found my last 2.

Yeah I was thinking about doing a new game but what's the point? I don't feel like being shot at while getting the hunter, even if i get the hunter off the round unless one of the army pulls me out and shoots me to death... I guess i'll just do the mainstory missions (since i got Cap the Collector, and Keep Your Friends Close... left) but i gotta do some odd jobs which im not sure of to unlock the two. I bought the Malibu and the Print Works as the guide said but still no pink circle infront of Vercetti Estate...
 
buy sunshine autos and the film club as well.

With the packages im sure its there you just have to look. otherwise too bad man you might have to start again.
 
Uh I think i might have found the lost one in my game save, In my new game i was looking for the ones by the apartment stairs in the same place as my game save... nothing there. i was like dammit a game glitch. But I looked back and saw another set of stairs... looked there and whattya know? A hidden package. So i'm going to save this new game on a seperate mem. card and then see if that is IN FACT the missing package. wish me luck.
 
Good for you! You can also get a second hunter by completing Kepp yuor friends close!

Hey man,
The one you're missing is probably the one at the airport terminal. The first couple times I looked I didn't find it and then I realized I was looking in the one on the right side of the airport instead of the left.

hahah thats great, I thought that that was the easiest one!!!! hahaha,

ok Im stock on 99 and Im too lazy to find the last one, hehe
