Hi,

I'm new to the forums so go easy on me. Loving GT5 and played a few previous versions. Definitely an above average player but certainly no more... :)

Just wanted to know, where can I tune the car i.e. adjust ride height etc? And do I need to have bought all the upgrades in order to do so?

Another silly question but can I add more downforce and does installing a rear wing help?

Cheers!

1. You need to buy upgrades in order to adjust car settings. For ride height you can either purchase Adjustable Sports Suspension or Fully Customizable Suspension. Once installed, you can tune your car just before a race, in the Settings menu, which is near the Driving Options Menu.

2. I haven't tried it yet, but yes, you should be able to add downforce by installing a rear wing.

In the tuning options before a race, you can change all the things you want their. Downforce is under the first tab, Body and chassis.

Yes installing a rear wing definately helps with downforce as does adjusting the front of your cars suspension slightly lower than the back . Also racing tires help no-end with any car so you might need to check you have those.
In most racing games these adjustments hardly effect your racing but after jazzing up my Ferrari Italia , I took it to the track only for it to snake around most corners and nearly take off at Nuremburg , but once I fitted the rear wing and racing tires , the beast was tameable :)

Settings menu before the race, choose the system you want to adjust on the left and then go right twice to choose the little dial icon. Only available for customisable parts but the brake bias controller is always available so you can see it there.

Another way is to go to your garage, select the car you want then click on tuning. Of course, you need to have the parts fitted before you can play with them (suspension, LSD etc)
