Im trying to create a sub account I have a main account that i use all the time

so heres what i did
logged out of my main acount and
choose create new user I entered a name
entered details d.o.b etc
then i got message says i cant do that

why is this? anyone?

can anyone ive step bystep info on how to do it plz
 
Strange matey i've created about 15+ sub accounts to get b-day tickets,

So create new user on the ps3 starter page
Sign up for the playstation network
DOB must be a certain age to meet the critieria (was that message given)
Then fill in all the subsiquent info. Easy

The only way that I can think of why it did work is that the age you entered didn't meet the criteria? Try it again... what do you want the sub account for?
 
I'm putting the year as 2010
Message say does not meet right criteria I'm using it for birthday tickets
 
Do you have a credit card linked to your main account? The reason is anything younger than 1992 needs age confirmation. ie. Parent with credit card.

Make sense?
 
Yeah if your using it to get a 2010 bday ticket you need to have a credit card linked to your main account.
 
A uk based account can't have a sub account. you have to have an USA (or im sure many other countries) account
 
As i can remember, UK based sub accounts only for 13 years minimum, it won't let you make one for 12 years or less.
Also, don't bother with US or Japanese accounts, it'll let you to make them, but will ask for a credit card. Go make a Hong Kong based accounts. Fast and easy.
 
My 12 year old son has a sub account on my uk account.
