We got them on the online members section and the birthdays section, but just a suggestion why not have them on the sub forums too? Example:

In the Rumble Strip we have four subforums:

The Comedy Corner
Local Gatherings
The Trading Post
Ask GTPlanet!

Dunno about anyone else, but I don't often go into those subforums, and it would be quite handy if I could collapse them, allowing the Rumble Strip topics themselves to move up.
 
It’s kind of difficult to create a logical way to collapse a sub-forum, because since you have to leave a bar to bring it back up, the bar would (ostensibly) take up almost as much space as the sub-forum listing itself.

But I agree, it's not that big of a hassle and wouldn't really save that much room.
 
We also have several sub forums that haven't been used in months.
 
I don't see why being able to collapse all the sub forums would do any harm, I wouldn't use it, but I can see why people would like that feature.
 
I would use it. I can fire through my favorites, and can quickly see if there are any new replies with the bold thread titles. I can get through GTP in a couple seconds this way.

Except when I get to Cars in General, Rumble Strip and Premium, where I have to move the mouse and scroll down to see if anything new has come up.

I don't think it's necesary, but that's just my opinion. It won't make much difference.
 
I understand situations where this would have its use, but I am trying to mess with the default templates as little as possible for our new style and I don't think such a change would be worth the trouble. :)
