Another tuning daily is strange, but welcome in my opinion. Here's my tune I'm currently running, which is currently the provisional world record for daily A.

Preliminaries

PD seems to have listened to the feedback from the last AE86 tuning race, as now much has been changed to make tuning the cars more accessible to players. Ultimate tuning parts are now prohibited, which means you no longer need level 50 to access the best parts available for the race. What's strange is widebodies are prohibited yet engine swaps (a level 50 unlock!) are allowed, of which this car has one which I'll get into later. The rest of the ruleset requires the car to have 315hp max, 1270kg (2800lbs) minimum, and sports soft tyres only.

This car has a very nervous rear end under braking, so be careful especially at turn 7 as the car can break out from underneath you and slide, which will cost you upwards of several tenths.

The rear braking sensitivity on the LSD was set to 35 to alleviate this, though if you feel it's still too much you can set it to 40 rear and 15 front for more stability under braking, though beware as this makes the car slower everywhere else.

You can use the optional swap for this car in the daily as well (EJ20-Impreza-Rally rally engine from the Subaru Impreza Rally Car '98), but it doesn't seem faster in my experience. In all fairness I only gave it about 30 minutes of testing, but it seems the turbo is marginally slower to spool, which nullifies the massive torque advantage it would otherwise have. If you're curious and want to give it a go, here's what you need to know when preparing the car for the engine swap:
The low RPM turbo provides signficantly more torque! Do not install the mid or high RPM turbos unless you prefer the powerband.

In both engines, the car makes it's peak power incredibly low in the rev range, somewhere between 6200-6800 RPM.

It's important you be mindful of this when you shift the car, as you miss out on 40+ horsepower by shifting it at the redline! For me, I've found it easiest to shift by sound, or the rev bar in the middle when applicable. As soon as you see any red appear at the left side of the bar, shift immediately as you're already over-revving the car by about 2-300 RPM.
