Hi,

I saw this and thought I'd put it up to see if anyone had any ideas on what was causing it. This Subaru has only one tailight working! I checked under normal driving and under braking, and it doesn't light up.
I searched the forums, and found simialar situations with other cars (mainly the Mercedes SLR) but not this one. Got any ideas on this or any of the cars with this problem? Here's a couple of pics for you to ponder over...

Under normal driving:

and under brakes:

PS: I don't think the backfire has anything to do with it, just fluked the photo. Kinda nice though. :)

A few cars have this problem in GT4. I think its like in Real Life where on some All Terrain Veichles have only one brake light only on one side. I think its just a stupid car design.

Maybe on that car the rear foglight comes on when the rest of the lights do? That would explain the odd bottom light.

Ahh, so there is no light onthe left hand side, and the one on the right is actually a fog light.

Thanks, I think that explains it then. :)

Do you think this is the same with other cars in GT4 that this happens to?

I came across the same thing in the Ford RS200

okay so its a crappy pic, but I don't have a mem stick to use photo mode yet :guilty:

you have blown a globe. just replace it and it'll be fixed :)

Ohh thanks. I think I'll replace it with a Blitz or an HKS one, 'cos those will make my car go faster than a standard Subaru one, right? ;) Also, the fact it's red is good, 'cos we all know that red ones go faster... :)

did you notice a decrease in power or speed when your tail light went? it is after all red and less red = less speed :p

I believe it is a rear fog light.....only one side is on for rear fogs....usually extra bright....and...yes an hks light will make yer car faster...i put one in on mine and got 20 extra wheel hp
💡

Thats what we get when PD models their cars from broken down cars, lol.

mabe u guys have a special version of the game that has rare damage for the lights?

only a gues

I actually first noticed it when I slammed into the back of one comming into a hairpin. Why do they brake so damn early?! :dunce: I thought that by some grace of God I had hit it so hard that I had at least blown the bulb. :)

💡 After further investigation though, that was not to be... 👎

see if it was a holden every time you put the blinker on the brake light flash's and when you brake the reverse lights come on :s
why wasent that replicated in the game?

Have you tried conencting your digitial camera to your PS2 via USB cable. I found my hp camera works (found it after I went and bought a mem stick).

If there is an option on your camera called "USB device" or similar set it to disk drive. That is what I did.

Because they have a stupid double braking system. The first braking occurs at entrance for a good turn-in, and the second braking is closer to the apex, so the car swings around the turn easier. I'm not sure how efficient this style is on a real track, all I know is that it messes everyone up in the longrun.
