Submit your car pic for my painting project! Details inside!

Ok... I'm taking an Oil Painting class right now and an upcoming project is to draw whatever we want.

I'm going to hold a contest to have people post their pics and I will paint the winner's pic. Disclaimer: I cannot guarantee I'll do a good job though, as I'm a nOOb and has been kinda a struggle. I'll try my best though.

This contest will probably go til Tues. or most of next week.

Rules:

1. Pic can't be bigger than 5x7in. [size](I'm gonna project it onto the canvas to trace)[/size]

2. It needs to be simple and/or clean. Minimal reflections, Few colors, no complex shapes. Oh and no chrome.

3. Backgrounds should be simple. (If the car is good enough I could PS it and take out the background.)

4. No, all black or all white pics.

5. Personal preference on car choice might come into play too. Sorry...

Maybe I should add no all black or white pics? I need to have color in it I think. It's partly why I don't think I can use the Elise or else I probably would.

Anyway, keep em coming. I wanted to see what GTP offers before picking, I know you guys come up with awesome stuff like in the Imports thread.

I thought it was kinda cool, I think that color would stand out pretty good. It's not too common of a color. The shape is really easy too.

Does the car need to be in prime condition? I could go take a picture of my car thats not legal to drive in my driveway. Although its kinda missing a few pieces..

No, that sound fine. It just has to be on the simple side or clean. Just follow my rules and it should be ok.

Why'd you paint the foreground first?

Easier? Dunno why? Just don't top to bottom. I suppose it's easier for me this way so I don't smudge my hand all over everything and mess it up.
