I'm still fairly new here on GTP, but I have found my way around. I tried using the search and help options, but they didn't have the answer. My question: is there a way to subscribe to a thread without getting the email notifications? In other words, can I just subscribe to a thread and have it show up in my User Control Panel and not my email inbox? If this has been answered before, please point me to the right direction.

Is that the Allow Bulletin Board Administrators and Moderators To Send You Email Notices? or the Use 'Email Notification' by default?

The first one I have as Yes and the second I have as No. Should I put the first as No also?

edit: I just put both on 'No' and I'm still getting email notifications with my subscription. And if I choose to not get "Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible" when editing the post, the thread disappears from my User Control Panel.

As of right now, there is no way to do that. If you are subscribed to a thread at all, you will receive email notification whether you want it or not. Fortunately, however, that inconvenience has been noted by the vBulletin software developers and there will be a way to turn off the email notification in the next version. Hopefully we will be upgrading fairly soon, so just hang in there. :)

Check any email filters you might have enabled. GTP Post Notifications are often mistaked as spam.

Weird, my mail agent tells me that I have new mail from a GTP thread, so I check it. When I open the inbox, the email notification isn't there, but went straight to the trash can. So GTP notifications probably are mistaken as spam.
