Suggested Race track?

I wasn't sure where to put this one.. I was afraid no one would see it in the GT4 Section, Gt5 Doesn't even have this track, So here sounded nice, since its a motorsport-related question.

Mid-Field Raceway- For those of you who arent familiar, here's the layout

I know its small, but you get the point.

Personally, I think this is the greatest track ever, and should be built. But heres where you come in-

Specifically, where in the world would you put it?

What type of racing would you do there? I was thinking F1, maybe ILMC...

Whats the going rate of a racetrack? How much do you think it would cost?

Feel free to chastise me for putting it in the wrong section...
 
But i have no CAD ability whatsoever... this was more of an opinion thing, rather than actually doing it
 
F1 wouldn't be feisible because the track is under the 2.5 mile mininmum length, I Don't think Le Mans Series would be posssible due to length as well.

But I imagine it is possible.
 
Racetracks have to be over 3.5km which is just over 2 miles. Midfield is just over it I think.

Yeah, I was going to say, Monaco is just a hair over two miles, but it's a bit of an exception for F1, being the shortest track on the schedule.
 
I think Monaco is shorter then allowed. I know it's breaking some regulations anyways. 3.5km is about 2.2 miles ad Monaco is literally JUST over 2 miles
 
Oh I thought it was 2.5. I guess I got it mixed up.

Monaco has a special term in there contract which states it can be shorter.

I think Mid-Field would need some more run-off before being F1 materiel.

Certainly. That downhill bend leading into the hairpin would be a disaster waiting to happen. :scared:
 
Yeah, I can see how that turn could catch people out, and end nasty....

How about WTCC or DTM?
 
Well if WTCC are thinking of racing at the Nordschlife I think this would be fine.
 
If it is the circuit layout that you like then it's probably quite feasible, in many countries, and many different series, but if you want all those rock faces, and bridges and tunnels, it probably wouldn't be much more than a millionaires playground race resort. Like most PD tracks it is not designed to be built by people who have to pay bills, or raced by people who value their life!
 
Of course you wouldn't replicate the rock faces and tunnels.

I think getting the topography exact would require lots of work and dynamite anyway.
