POsted by me in rumble strip, alot of people thought it was a good idea. Could this work Jordan?
 
Heh, I didn't know you were actually going to post this. But I think a "one strike you're out" rule would work better. Also suggested by Space in the rumble strip.:D
 
I agree 100%. I feel that this forum is the best idea I have heard here in the S&F forum in a long while. I am for it. :thumbsup:
 
If Jordan made such a forum I think a few things should be required of it. First, it, and the posts within, should be invisible to everyone but Admin/Moderators, and the people sent there.

Second, it should be treated like the Test Forum. No posts in it should count towards people's post counts.
 
It's a good idea, although I don't know how we (the moderators and myself) would decide when the offending parties would be ready to enter the normal forums. What if they don't post anything at all in there?
 
Call it the Kinder-Care forum.

Jordan, I guess the mods could let those that post in there, and show good progress, could be let out. Those that don't post in there, show no progress, stay in there untill they do post and show positive movement.

It's an exellent idea.

You could make them prove themselves to you. And if there not true to their word then immediatly ban them.
 
Yeah, if they don't post in there at all, they don't get let back in to the normal forums until doing so, and if they do post good stuff, have nice conversations with other inmates(:p), etc then they'll be allowed out.:)

We need an embarrasing(for the people in it)name for this forum...here's some possibilities:
Kinder-Care
Jail
The Corner
IFS(taken from ISS, it means In Forum Suspension)
Time-Out
Busted

That's about it...

What if there are no other inmates?

Like MazKid said, there's always more than 1 person doing stupid stuff.;) There's usually a "team" of 'em.;)
 
I think one day when/if this idea is implimented I will be a spamming idiot just to get in. Just Kidding. :p

I have an idea though, when someone gets IFS (<- I like that name) maybe there could be a small part on the site that says who is in it just to add embarrassment. (<-sp?)You know,kinda
like the "Current users online" list on the forums index except have another part that says, "Current Members in In Forum Suspension" or something. This way people will be embarrassed and not want to go back. I think it is a pretty good idea. ;)

yea that's good VC, embarras the crap out of the convicted and chances are they won't do the crime cause they don't want to do the time.
 
I think perhaps an option for the mods to impose a 24 hour 'ban' on people might work better. It would give the person some time to cool off and think for a while. If they came back as hot as before, then you could decide what to do. If they can't get along with the general poulation, I don't see why they should post anywhere at all.
 
but just by temporarily banning them, that would piss them off more, we are trying to teach them not to do bad stuff.
