i am going to do the 4 hour nurburgringa aspec and i am looking for any sugestions for a light under (1300kgs) and stock in the 260horsepower area. i would prefer a european car (even though i am american) because they are more sturdy and have (usually) smoother ride. used or new and under $50,000 us dollars. if there is nothing in theese categories post cars that are close as possible!
suggestions please,
thanks

maybe an M3 (base model) could do it?? More horsepower but also more weight... and the Lotus Esprit V8...

thanks i was also trying the tvr t350c in arcade mode witch wasnt that bad:sly: and i was going to try my 450hp infinity g35 sedan but too much power for the sports tires:grumpy: ... i was thinkg of thge m3 and also the used 98' audi s4 witch is also quite good but no used ones have poped up latel:ouch:

i have my subarbu impreza spec c- stock, and i'm gonna do the 4h RING race with it.....its a quiet good car. i just did a racing setup.

the best car i think to do with it is the Honda NSX. 1 because it has amazing handling and 2 because its light! all you would really need to do is maybe tires and suspension. other than that its a well balanced car:tup:

If you are on a budget, the S2000 is the way to go. Even though its not from europe, its a really good car for the price. If you really want to stick to your euoropean theme, buy the lotus 111R with some S1's. Speaking of S1's: try the elan S1 FULLY MODED. great to beat all of the high horse power cars with it. lots of fun...👍

thanks for all you suggestions here are my car list narrowed down...
(baced on fun factor, reliability, horsepower and weight)
1.TVR t350c
2.Audi S4
3.BMW M3
4.Mazda RX-8
5.Nissan 350z
6.Honda s2000
7.Ford GT
8.Chevrolet Corvette
9.VW R32
10.BMW M5

help me narrow it down:)
thanks

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Evo's.

Take an Evo VIII.
Not the RS, it's based on the VII, has got more spin, less torque, and is really older. Cheaper, though.
The MR is possibly the best. More torque, better traction, better suspension, etc. But, it is more expensive.
What about the GSR, then? Well, buy the GSR, at 32k, if memory serves my right, buy an Racing Exhaust, and a Racing Intercooler. Those are basic bolt-ons. Get a chip, then an oil change. You've got a superb racing car, with around 350 bhp, at under 45.000.. 👍

My two cents..

9.VW R32
3.BMW M3

These would be my choices If you wanted a liitle more fun factor try the
HPA MOTORSPORTS (Tuner)
Golf IV R32 Stage II ('04)

Price- $31,870
Stock HP 556 @ 6,750 rpm Not to many cars for that price with that much pwr.... I haven't run it on NURB yet but plan to :scared:

That car has a powerband of a midget that drinks coffe:yuck:

I wouldn't take the Golf nor the RX-8, they're very unerpowered.
As for the Ford GT and the TVR is the other way around. The M5 is too heavy for my taste.
The S2000 will give you a very exciting race (but it's not too good for the heart), but be warned that you might lose it :nervous:
I also think you should get a light car like the NSX. The 'ring is a REALLY long track so it very important to pit at the correct time! 💡 A car that's easy on tyres is the key here!

now i am leaning to a m3 csl... ive ahd it 4 a while i didnt do much for speed but it has alot of work done to the tranny, suspension, and its lightend... if the car is too fast it wil probly fly off the road because of the sports tire requirement:crazy:

ive done the race in an S2000 GT1 and tore every one up but for your sake id run a ford GT all ive gotta say on it is have fun

I'd definitely suggest not using the Ford GT or the BMW M5, since they are most definitely OVERKILL! If you're looking for 4hrs of driving with no-one else near you, except as you blow by to lap them time after time, then go ahead, but that's not real "racing"! :yuck:

The M3 CSL should win hands down by a huge margin with no modifications, never mind upgraded as you described. :indiff:

I'd go with one of the Japanese rides you mentioned, all sufficiently underpowered with no modifications, changed to S1 tyres, and you should have a cracking race on your hands if you avoid the AI NSXs and Lotus Elise.
Don't worry too much if you have the Ford Focus/Renualt Clio/Opel Speedster in the lineup, they all seem pretty quick, but have really stupid pit strategies that will allow you to beat them easily. :sly:

Check here for a complete list of the possible AI competition for this race.

And here to see how much fun a good close race for 4hrs at the Nurb' can be! I used a stock Honda S2000 Type-V '01 :D

How ever you choose to race this one, enjoy it!!!! ;)
